They obviously touch up his face a little with makeup and/or CGI. I remember going to theaters to watch top gun maverick and he had a little message for the audience and THATS where you saw his age. A lot more wrinkly. Still looks good in general though. Also like RDJ, when you see him off screen, he’s really starting to look old now.

This is literally the endgame of Mission Impossible. Angela bassett is back, jeremy renner is back. The rabbits' foot from MI3 in there as a tease. Now, if i recalled, we never really know what it did essentially, so this movie might also tie up some loose ends from previous instalments. The teaser was sooo good. The locations, the stunts (not surprising) and it genuinely does feel like an ending for real. I mean im sure paramount will milk the hell out of the franchise in the way of making spinoffs. But in the main schemes, it is the final one. Tom has also come out and said it. The funny thing is, this film probably likely wont make money considering paramount is putting 400 million in this 1 film😂 thats just absurd numbers. This film would have to make at least 800-900 million just to breakeven.😂

I've imagined how I might write a twist ending to this storyline, and I keep steering toward something I've had in my head since people started becoming scared of recent AIs. What if the Entity is all along a good guy, but is steering the good guys and bad guys toward a path that will free humanity or something like that? Maybe it has studied Ethan until it has become better than Ethan at what he does? Maybe Ilsa didn't actually die? I'm not sure how, but imagine a super-intelligent AI with unlimited resources and skills of Ethan. And it's fooling everyone, to do something right that even the good guys couldn't have hoped to accomplish without the Entity.
There's been so many TV-to-movie one off's like Avengers, The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, The Man From UNCLE. Every time a new MI film comes out, I always feel bad for Emilio Estevez who played one of the good guys in the first film and was killed off in the first TEN MINUTES. At the time, they probably though that movie would just be a one off, but it turned into this global billion dollar franchise and Emilio missed out on it. ☹
It's a shame the last film didn't do better at the box office. It was an incredible film. I wasn't happy with how they handled one character; there were no spoilers, but it was terrific. Story-wise, it was as good as Fallout, but it lacked the same caliber of villain. Henry is hard to beat as a menacing villain. It was run over by Barbinheimer. Big films must be more exciting for people to see in little theaters. It's IMAX, Dolby, or nothing, really. So when two other films take up all those screens, you get the shaft. Barbie was OK, nothing like what people made it out to be. The main male character, Ken, is the most exciting person in a female-centered film. I still haven't seen Opp because I haven't been in the mind space to sit down and watch something like that for that long. I own it, so I'll get to it eventually. But Dead Reckoning should have been one of the top 5 films last year. This new film will be killer. I bet he went to the Arctic and had them find a hole in the ice to drop into in his boxer briefs, and they filmed that. HOLY SHIT!!!!! Tom Cruise is the last truly great movie star we have. The fact that he keeps his mouth shut about politics puts him at the top of the food chain alone. This dude wants to make incredible movies and entertain people like Hollywood used to be before it was taken over by a few VERY SMALL groups of people who couldn't find art if it crawled up their asses and died. Political statements have only one place in Hollywood, in one VERY GOOD film a year that's up for Oscars. Anywhere else, ESPECIALLY superheroes, Star Wars, or fantasy films and shows, should be off limits to that nonsense. No one sits down to watch DP&W to be lectured about some freaking political issue that like 5% of the country agrees on. I'm just saying that that happened in that movie. If you want the audience to suspend disbelief, then stop yanking them back to reality in the middle of it, it really screws up the situation.

Here’s my theory: Seeing as how they titled it “The Final Reckoning” they are playing it safe with the title. 1 of 2 things will happen. If this movie performs well then we can say the title can refer to the final reckoning of this two-part story. Thus, we have a new mission impossible: Subtitle. Second scenario, if the movie underperforms then “The Final Reckoning” makes much more sense. We can all count our losses and say this is the final installment to the franchise.

I'd never call 'Dead Reckoning' a bad movie, it was good! But compared to 'Fallout', it was kind of by-the-numbers (big box office drop makes me think I'm not alone in thinking that). Hope they have a better movie out of this one.

Let’s see. Never say never. If this movie performs well then we’ll definitely see another mission impossible 4 years down the line. Here’s my theory:
Seeing as how they titled it “The Final Reckoning” they are playing it safe with the title. 1 of 2 things will happen. If this movie performs well then we can say the title can refer to the final reckoning of this two-part story. Thus, we have a new mission impossible: Subtitle.
Second scenario, if the movie underperforms then “The Final Reckoning” makes much more sense. We can all count our losses and say this is the final installment to the franchise.

I'd never call 'Dead Reckoning' a bad movie, it was good! But compared to 'Fallout', it was kind of by-the-numbers (big box office drop makes me think I'm not alone in thinking that).
Hope they have a better movie out of this one.
It wasn't bad, but it was far from good. 2nd worst MI film, IMO.
I don’t think anyone thinks it’s bad. But it’s definitely lacking in some key areas.
While Dead Reckoning is not a bad movie, the majority of it was to set up Final Reckoning, so it just felt incomplete.
