I found my twin flame. Our love was magical and still is. He died almost 4 months ago. We didn't know love like that could exist. Never experienced something like that before. We found home. I’ve always said my partner and I were soulmates. He moved on from the physical world, and it hurts like no other but I try really hard to find peace through your videos and it helps so much. Very Beautiful Curtis. I used to believe this when I was young but never found my soul mate, not even close. Perhaps in Heaven I will be blessed with one. I would agree that the love or affection would tend to flow "first" from the female since she would posses a stronger nurturing instinct, just like here on earth. These three episodes are so happy making! What a joy and a celebration to learn that we can work toward a marriage of what is good and true here now! And so much to try to understand! Every sentence is full of goodness and truth! The foundation I learned elsewhere is that it has to start from learning to refuse evil with the Lord’s help - laying the groundwork so that I can be receptive to the great truth that the Lord is King in my life. Hello, Damon! The first thing I want to convey is that earthly sexual orientation is an external thing, part of your outer, earthly self. Things of the physical body, and the feelings tied to that body, are very affected by chemical balances and imbalances at birth, or by childhood experiences. You true identity goes much deeper than things of the physical body! You say that you wish to be loving and understanding of yourself and others, and that is the most important thing - the thing that will be a part of your eternal identity. Swedenborg barely mentions homosexuality at all, which is notable in itself. Jesus, also, did not speak out against homosexuality. Instead, Jesus spoke out against adultery and lust. So, rather than focusing on external forms of sex, Jesus pointed to paying attention to how sex is used. Adultery is using sex to betray a commitment to someone. Lust does not mean just sexual desire (which is a good thing as a part of a loving and committed relationship), but instead means using sexual desire for selfish self-gratification, using people instead of loving people. Jesus was constantly working to steer people away from judging things according to outward appearances or circumstances, but instead look at the deeper things, like goals and intentions and motivations. Swedenborg echoes this in his writings. He states that adultery and lust are the things that can lead a person in the direction of hell, because they are selfish and opposed to heavenly love toward others. (Swedenborg listed 4 kinds of hellish lust: the lust to deflower, the lust for variety, the lust of rape, and the lust to seduce innocents.) So again, a focus on how people are *using* sex. He learned that God and heaven are not concerned with people's outer actions, but instead are concerned with their inner motivations and intentions. God is looking at people's hearts and minds, and all that they are dealing with. If a person is doing the best they can, no matter what external and bodily situation they are dealing with, to become more genuinely kind and useful toward others, then they are on a path to heaven. All people are beloved by God, and God is the only one that can know what each person is dealing with in their heart and mind, and can help them to sort it all out after death. If you read the stories about how Jesus acted, he always ignored the judgmental nature of society and the religious leaders who were wanting to condemn people for not externally living in a certain way. Instead, Jesus took each person as an individual instead of part of a "category", reached out to people that society considered in the wrong or outcasts, and looked at their hearts in order to see the best and most wise and loving way to help and heal and guide. And he spoke the most criticism toward those who self-righteously condemned others! Swedenborg emphasizes that it is not our place to make spiritual judgments about others, because we cannot know their hearts and minds. So, there are some thoughts. I hope that helps!

A lot of the time i feel like i’m hiding something i should be ashamed of, and if i told people maybe it would make things easier. For some, it seems to make things easier to tell people, but for others, not. But you don't have to worry about this choice distancing you from God. It is more about how this would affect your relationships with other people. God is the one who will be with you and loving you no matter what.
I got a reading through a medium to connect with my beloved fiancé' lately that changed my life since. I am now a believer to the afterlife and heaven and God knowing love is eternal and invincible. My guy said we are twin flames. I am still dealing with grief every single day that hurts but I know now instead of thinking about death I am working to find out what my life mission is until the day my time is over here on earth and join him. My take is, the husband is blue and is represented by the sapphires on his belt. The wife is is red and is represented by the ruby in the center on his belt. The sapphires are on both sides of the ruby as a sign that he surrounds and protects her.

So the sapphires could represent the 6th Chakra blue (eyes) of wisdom, the meditation state of "no interfering thought" (from India description of all 7 major Chakras of the body). I can't imagine being só close to someone that 2 becomes one. It's a thrilling idea, but I don't see myself having this kind of relationship while I'm still in this body, having this earthly experience. But after laying my body aside I will continue to do my best to let go of all the things that prevent me from getter closer to God. When I reach a certain stage in this process, I might be able to share my being with another being so that we can experience God more intensely than ever. I can't imagine how wonderful that would be! That idea warms my heart ❤. And who knows, it might be the partner I'm with right now whom I dearly love and treasure and hope to spend the rest of my (at least earthly) life with. Are twin flame relationships even real? it seems like whatever groups of like minded individuals we enter after death could all be our twin flames, but since God truly does want us to be happy it makes sense that he would make a perfect match for each of us to spend eternity with.
Yes, Swedenborg learned that we all come into communities of like-minded (or perhaps more accurately, like-hearted) individuals in the other world, but there is a particular partner that is ours. The term "twin flame" is kind of new to me, so I'm not sure exactly what people mean by it -- is it the same as "soul mate?" That's more how I think of the marriage partner that we will all be blessed with for eternity.

It helped me because I have seen something like this in’real’ life, when facing my soulmate. She was not cloaked in a garment though, maybe that is to be built or manifested while approaching the higher realms? I love this series. I have to take a breath and commit to the episodes like this that are more challenging (perhaps I am disappointed that ladies find their seemingly deepest joy in looking at men). That must sound so bratty. But really, this series has caused me to wonder much about the roles of women in heaven, and what it means to be a woman. In my limited studies so far, Swedenborg does not seem to mention us future lady spirits very much.

Terra Ray, are you referring to the description of when the angel wife turned slightly away from her husband so her face wouldn't be as bright to Swedenborg? "Facing each other" in the afterlife is about connection and union, so it wasn't a statement about her greatest joy being looking at her husband. It was a representation that their mutual connection was extremely powerful, and she was turning away to slightly "tone down" their connection enough so Swedenborg could handle the energy of their mutual love. Do you see the difference? Does that make sense?

Soul mates are NOT Twin Souls. Twin Souls can be your mom, wife, husband, child, sister etc. There is more to soul growth than silly romantic love although that can happen too. Twin Souls will do whatever they need to help you grow in a particular life. I dated my Twin Soul for 4 years and i met her when she was engaged! We had a passionate relationship but in the end she married her fiance.

Kindred, soul mates etc are simply a different genre. Wonderful but different . And your Twin may not be on earth at this time.
In India, the bride wears a red sari! That their relationship is founded on innocence is a real thing here, too, but very difficult to maintain with the sexuality and encouragement of jealousy programming everywhere (what daily TV soaps are based on).

If a couple is compatible in many ways and enjoy a peaceful home, yet one partner is hostile to religion (say Christianity), and the other partner is distressed by this hostility, can the couple still be happy together in the afterlife? And if there were some blockages in this life in the relationship, because the partner hostile to religion refused to talk about some things and shut down his partner if she tried to, is it possible for that to be changed in the afterlife?

I can't know the answer for sure - there are a lot of factors that go into compatibility in this life and the next, and so we can't know who goes where on an individual basis. What I do know, is that external factors are not nearly so important as who we are inside, and sometimes what we see in others isn't what's really in their hearts, so we can't really measure what faith is or means to others, even if they tell us they don't believe. Actually, Swedenborg was creating a new word for a new concept that he was introducing! The word "conjugal" can be about very earthly issues concerning marriage contracts and arrangements. Swedenborg was talking about a kind of marriage that is a deep, heavenly union of hearts and minds. So he needed a new word, with a soft g: conjugial!
don't feel bad, according to Swedenborg most people on Earth are not with their soulmate. also from mediumships I've heard that it's rare for two soulmates to incarnate on Earth together. Yet most people do marry but that doesn't mean their love is not any less real or significant just because they're not with their soulmate.

There is no linear time in the afterlife, so, I imagine two twin flames/soul mates could be from two different time eras on earth, if they were able to have the deeper levels of their minds resonate with one another.
I have been doing spiritual self evaluation and working on my marriage since my husband transitioned 14 months ago so that when it becomes my turn to step into the afterlife I will be as advanced spiritually as possible so that I won't miss a single chance of being with him and picking up where our relationship had to accommodate the change. I refuse to give up on something so perfect because of this inconvenience.

Just saw the Netflix documentary "Escaping Twin Flames". Mr. Kerr, my heart aches for all this pain you have been through. I (Karin) have been through the loss of a child, and I know what a strain that puts on a relationship. If you still feel love for each other, your story might not be over. I know of couples who separated for many years, but later, their love drew them back together. Or, you and Laura may get back together in the afterlife. But for now, please be gentle and patient with yourself. All this loss is a huge burden to bear. Healing can only happen gradually. Try not to worry about what you will do with the rest of your life, but just take one day at a time, finding what you need each day to get through. Find others to turn to for help and support when you need it. Step by step, you will find your way. There are wide discrepancies in our lives... people who enjoy good health, others who have cancer, some who find their partner and that partner dies early, others who do not marry on earth. None of that is a reflection of their preciousness to God. His will is for eternal happiness and he sees that short term loss is worth eternal joy. I found my twin flame. Our love was magical and still is. He died almost 4 months ago. We didn't know love like that could exist. Never experienced something like that before. We found home. These three episodes are so happy making! What a joy and a celebration to learn that we can work toward a marriage of what is good and true here now! And so much to try to understand! Every sentence is full of goodness and truth! The foundation I learned elsewhere is that it has to start from learning to refuse evil with the Lord’s help - laying the groundwork so that I can be receptive to the great truth that the Lord is King in my life. Clearing out the brush and cleaning up the ground in preparation for the laying of the garden in my mind and heart. I call on the Lord for his help against evil and falsity as I persist in weeding out these twin weeds. If you guys made a video or even just replied back helping me better understand what God says about sexual orientation and how to deal with not understanding certain parts of yourself or your ‘identity’ I would be so grateful! i know the topic of homosexuality is usually negative, and i don’t look for justification on any of it. I just have struggled to fully understand this part of myself and i’ve realized in my efforts in trying, that people are either super celebratory of it, or very hateful towards it, and i don’t know where to stand because i wish to be loving and understanding, but i struggle to even do that for myself sometimes because of this.

Hello, Damon! The first thing I want to convey is that earthly sexual orientation is an external thing, part of your outer, earthly self. Things of the physical body, and the feelings tied to that body, are very affected by chemical balances and imbalances at birth, or by childhood experiences. You true identity goes much deeper than things of the physical body! You say that you wish to be loving and understanding of yourself and others, and that is the most important thing - the thing that will be a part of your eternal identity.
Swedenborg barely mentions homosexuality at all, which is notable in itself. Jesus, also, did not speak out against homosexuality. Instead, Jesus spoke out against adultery and lust. So, rather than focusing on external forms of sex, Jesus pointed to paying attention to how sex is used. Adultery is using sex to betray a commitment to someone. Lust does not mean just sexual desire (which is a good thing as a part of a loving and committed relationship), but instead means using sexual desire for selfish self-gratification, using people instead of loving people. Jesus was constantly working to steer people away from judging things according to outward appearances or circumstances, but instead look at the deeper things, like goals and intentions and motivations.
Swedenborg echoes this in his writings. He states that adultery and lust are the things that can lead a person in the direction of hell, because they are selfish and opposed to heavenly love toward others. (Swedenborg listed 4 kinds of hellish lust: the lust to deflower, the lust for variety, the lust of rape, and the lust to seduce innocents.) So again, a focus on how people are *using* sex. He learned that God and heaven are not concerned with people's outer actions, but instead are concerned with their inner motivations and intentions. God is looking at people's hearts and minds, and all that they are dealing with. If a person is doing the best they can, no matter what external and bodily situation they are dealing with, to become more genuinely kind and useful toward others, then they are on a path to heaven. All people are beloved by God, and God is the only one that can know what each person is dealing with in their heart and mind, and can help them to sort it all out after death.
If you read the stories about how Jesus acted, he always ignored the judgmental nature of society and the religious leaders who were wanting to condemn people for not externally living in a certain way. Instead, Jesus took each person as an individual instead of part of a "category", reached out to people that society considered in the wrong or outcasts, and looked at their hearts in order to see the best and most wise and loving way to help and heal and guide. And he spoke the most criticism toward those who self-righteously condemned others! Swedenborg emphasizes that it is not our place to make spiritual judgments about others, because we cannot know their hearts and minds.
So, there are some thoughts. I hope that helps!

I appreciate this so much! i’ve struggled with this for a long time. I’m in high school right now and there’s lots of outside pressure on both sides and it does get confusing sometimes. A lot of the time i feel like i’m hiding something i should be ashamed of, and if i told people maybe it would make things easier. For some, it seems to make things easier to tell people, but for others, not. But you don't have to worry about this choice distancing you from God. It is more about how this would affect your relationships with other people. God is the one who will be with you and loving you no matter what.

I can't imagine being só close to someone that 2 becomes one. It's a thrilling idea, but I don't see myself having this kind of relationship while I'm still in this body, having this earthly experience.
But after laying my body aside I will continue to do my best to let go of all the things that prevent me from getter closer to God. When I reach a certain stage in this process, I might be able to share my being with another being so that we can experience God more intensely than ever. I can't imagine how wonderful that would be! That idea warms my heart ❤. And who knows, it might be the partner I'm with right now whom I dearly love and treasure and hope to spend the rest of my (at least earthly) life with. I don't think it is important for me to know if he is my 'twinflame' or not. But I do know we uplift eachother by reminding eachother of God, with love and wisdom. Are twin flame relationships even real? it seems like whatever groups of like minded individuals we enter after death could all be our twin flames, but since God truly does want us to be happy it makes sense that he would make a perfect match for each of us to spend eternity with.
Yes, Swedenborg learned that we all come into communities of like-minded (or perhaps more accurately, like-hearted) individuals in the other world, but there is a particular partner that is ours. The term "twin flame" is kind of new to me, so I'm not sure exactly what people mean by it -- is it the same as "soul mate?" That's more how I think of the marriage partner that we will all be blessed with for eternity.

I love this series. I have to take a breath and commit to the episodes like this that are more challenging (perhaps I am disappointed that ladies find their seemingly deepest joy in looking at men). That must sound so bratty. But really, this series has caused me to wonder much about the roles of women in heaven, and what it means to be a woman. Terra Ray, are you referring to the description of when the angel wife turned slightly away from her husband so her face wouldn't be as bright to Swedenborg? "Facing each other" in the afterlife is about connection and union, so it wasn't a statement about her greatest joy being looking at her husband. It was a representation that their mutual connection was extremely powerful, and she was turning away to slightly "tone down" their connection enough so Swedenborg could handle the energy of their mutual love. Do you see the difference? Does that make sense?

Soul mates are NOT Twin Souls. Twin Souls can be your mom, wife, husband, child, sister etc. There is more to soul growth than silly romantic love although that can happen too. Twin Souls will do whatever they need to help you grow in a particular life. I dated my Twin Soul for 4 years and i met her when she was engaged! Interesting video. It brings up a question, too. If a couple is compatible in many ways and enjoy a peaceful home, yet one partner is hostile to religion (say Christianity), and the other partner is distressed by this hostility, can the couple still be happy together in the afterlife? And if there were some blockages in this life in the relationship, because the partner hostile to religion refused to talk about some things and shut down his partner if she tried to, is it possible for that to be changed in the afterlife?

I can't know the answer for sure - there are a lot of factors that go into compatibility in this life and the next, and so we can't know who goes where on an individual basis. What I do know, is that external factors are not nearly so important as who we are inside, and sometimes what we see in others isn't what's really in their hearts, so we can't really measure what faith is or means to others, even if they tell us they don't believe. Actually, Swedenborg was creating a new word for a new concept that he was introducing! The word "conjugal" can be about very earthly issues concerning marriage contracts and arrangements. Swedenborg was talking about a kind of marriage that is a deep, heavenly union of hearts and minds. So he needed a new word, with a soft g: conjugial!

What time era can someone find a twin flame in the afterlife?
There is no linear time in the afterlife, so, I imagine two twin flames/soul mates could be from two different time eras on earth, if they were able to have the deeper levels of their minds resonate with one another.

I have been doing spiritual self evaluation and working on my marriage since my husband transitioned 14 months ago so that when it becomes my turn to step into the afterlife I will be as advanced spiritually as possible so that I won't miss a single chance of being with him and picking up where our relationship had to accommodate the change. I refuse to give up on something so perfect because of this inconvenience.

Just saw the Netflix documentary "Escaping Twin Flames". I really hope people don't confuse the various New Age teachings, many of which are very harmful, with the Swedenborgian concept of Conjugial Love. Unfortunately, Swedenborg is even mentioned on the wikipedia page for the incredibly destructive Twin Flame Universe cult.

but I met my TWIN flame and we both were born here the same time and met at strange intervals, and situations and even separates locations few xxxx's of miles apart over 13 years. But the last attempt by spirit to be together was almost a theatrical Hollywood plot, we knew, we both were gifted in our own right, but when together, our human selves transcended to almost a FKN evolved human , we both were just fully aware of our duality and selves .
Everything that was right for us, was also what DESTROYED us.. lost a child, lost eachother , damaged eachother, crashed and burned and 1 year and 6 months later I am still traumatized and hurt THAT I am having a hard time repairing myself.

Good questions, Sablaireau. You are absolutely not less important in God's eyes. There are wide discrepancies in our lives... people who enjoy good health, others who have cancer, some who find their partner and that partner dies early, others who do not marry on earth. None of that is a reflection of their preciousness to God. His will is for eternal happiness and he sees that short term loss is worth eternal joy. When a surgeon operates, it may bring pain to the patient and yet the doctor is absolutely clear that it is worth the short term pain.

He does also mention rare people who live alone but the pipeline of Heavens joy will be the love and relationships with those around us the greatest of which is the one with have with Our Lord. That marriage in Heaven is perfect union that the Lord provides as He will provide everything.
