Xu Feihong, the new Chinese Ambassador to India, arrived in New Delhi to assume office on May 10. Earlier, in a discussion with CGTN, the Ambassador said that among his priorities are deepening understanding and friendship between the two peoples, expanding exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and improving and advancing the bilateral relationship.

This is the dilemma of China; it wants the best of both worlds. It wants to have friends with India to empower its influence globally and regionally; at the same time, it wants to take all the disputed territories and put a knife on India's neck to make India subservient.
No sane government will allow this to happen unless they are stupid, cowardly or too weak to resist.
So the contradiction of Chinese policy comes from its ambition to exploit India at the same time, force India to be its all-time partner, just like Pakistan, Cambodia, North Korea and now Russia(partially).
