    Just started moving to this recently from the V1 model, you’ve filled in a few gaps of understanding. This will help with my continued improvements of how I am running it. As always, thanks John.

    Great content as usual. I wish I paid attention to the offset before creating 10 different maintenance schedules for 3rd monday, 4th tuesday etc. I just didn't realise that the 3rd monday won't necessarily be the monday after patch tuesday 😅😅

    Thanks John! I just implemented this for my clients. I’m struggling with unsupported VMs for CIS hardened images as well as Azure migrated VMs not being able to schedule updates

    • @NTFAQGuy

      Azure migrated are now supported in public preview. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/update-center/whats-new#azure-migrate-azure-backup-azure-site-recovery-vms-support-preview

    Hey John. Thanks for sharing this. Do people still need wsus?

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t NEED it. You can. WSUS, WU, MU or any of the Linux package managers can act as repositories.

    Does anyone know if you can use Azure Update manager to update Vms on different tenants? It works with multiple subscriptions but I cannot see how you can update all VMs on different tenants across your organisation.

    The only thing holding us back is the pre and post scripts. We have servers that are off that we turn on to patch and turn off. We also have others that need services stopped before patching. Lots of unique situations in our enterprise footprint. Like any other enterprise. Great to hear it is now GA (one prerequisite for us) and that the script option is coming.

      I use scripts/runbooks in exactly the same way. Hopefully this will come along soon but, in the meantime, one should be able to use the same runbooks just with schedules attached rather than being automatically triggered by UM
