  • Episode 2 of my adventures up at Annadel State Park take me on some of the more technical trails Annadel has to offer. Cobblestone trailhead starts right at the parking lot on Channel Drive, so it's very easy to spot! It starts out with a mild climb but quickly gets technical in a few areas, dense rock gardens, thick root sections and a few off camber areas will test your riding abilities immediately! Cobblestone is a 2.1 technical single track that eventually dumps you onto Rough Go...But, about 3/4 of the way through Cobblestone on your right (very easy to miss!) is Smokin' Aces! A very steep, chunky, technical descent! It's a pretty short trail, about a 1/4 mile or so and drops you right back onto Rough Go! It's well worth a try if you've never done it! Okay, lastly is Rough Go! Probably my favorite trail in the park and it rides pretty similar to Cobblestone, except this trail has about 5x the line choices that Cobblestone offers, which is great if you're new to the trail and even better if you're more advanced! Rough Go is about 2 miles long and it's awesome in either direction, you can either start on Canyon Trail if you wan't more climbing or Lake Trail if you want more descending, take your pick! Thank you so much if you're still reading this and watching my videos! I really appreciate it and I hope you're already subscribed! If you're not...Do it already 😉! Come join me on this awesome mountain biking adventure! 😁 Enjoy the video friends!

Jake … what trail do you feel is best for a intermediate rider to practice their skills at anadel … I feel like a few trails, I was in over my head… I feel like south Burma was at my limit

@@JakeSpeakman yeah I’ve been riding road for ever … Now on a mountain bike it definitely takes a bit confidence to actually see what they can handle … My mind is telling me NO .. But the bike just goes over rocks like nothing lol

@@alansarpy Try channel trail, then ride up Richardson to South Burma. That’s a good route to practice, as you get more confident add North Burma as well.

Thanks for sharing! I was hoping you'd share the Cobblestone climb (full video or at least show those really tech sections). I've climbed that trail once just few months ago and I tried to do a no dab/non-stop but I couldn't clear one section. This section I think was after the off-camber boulder that you had to climb up and over. I think it was after that section. Anyway, I want to try doing the full Rough-Go climb next time. I've only done portion of it (after Cobblestone). I usually only go down it. Also, on your video around 6-8 mins mark, it looks like its Rough-Go. I've descended that like 7x in the last 10 years, recent was few months ago and I don't remember it being that Rocky. Maybe because I'm looking down at it on your video? Usually I look up/ahead and staring at those rocks looks sketchy AH. lol
Santa Teresa County Park in San Jose also have nice Tech climbs that I think you'd enjoy.

Thanks for watching dude! I really appreciate it! I’ve only cleaned Cobblestone maybe once or twice, it’s a beast. Rough Go is a rocky demon, go ride it now to jolt your memory haha!
