Love it. Very well done. Good narration and facts. A beautiful country we must visit again, after all it’s in our blood.

Very enjoyable video! The movies Far & away (1992) starring Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman + Ryan's daughter (1970) starring Robert Mitchum & Sarah Miles were both filmed in the Dingle peninsula. The actor Gregory Peck was cousins with Thomas Ashe (1885-1917) who was from a village just outside Dingle, who died on hunger strike on the 25th of September 1917 due to forcible feeding.

Fantastic!!! The falconry shots were my favorite. Of all the places I've been in my lifetime Ireland is where I would live in a hiccup if I could. The weather, the food, the people, the music, I can't say enough! Thanks for sharing! This is my favorite show!!!!

I had to reply as an Irishman to your query about Skellig Michael in Star Wars and if it cheapens the experience of such a renowned place. Many Milleniums who wouldnt normaly here, go to Skellig Michael because it was featured in Star Wars and often go home with a new admiration for the history of the place. Once there is no damage to the place from filming it makes more tourists aware of the sheer beauty and ruggedness of the place and encourages more tourists to visit a place that may not have been on their list.

The fort on the cliff used to be round, like all the other ring forts. Due to 3000 years of erosion of the cliff, half the fort aws also taken by the falling cliff.

I agree with you...as an Irish person living all my life in Ireland I firmly believe that amazing special historic unique island should never ever have been made available for any part of a film. People should visit because of history not because of a commercial film.

Kids won't be allowed on Skellig Island, sadly! Too dangerous!

    Hello from Catholic Ireland.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Kerry people like myself aren't concerned about our historical sites being used for film scenes or if people want to visit them for that specific reason..... of course some aul anglo hoor in Dublin will be complaing about exploitation and all that rubbish.

Could you guys point me to the company you used to visit Skellig Michael? Found a lot of options on Google...
Also, on the sequel trilogy films: I'm going because I absolutely love Last Jedi, and I would probably have never heard of the Skelligs in Brazil if it wasn't for the movies. So I do believe that, even if it's fantasy, it serves the purpose of spreading something cultural that otherwise wouldn't be known outside of English-speaking countries.

Yes, of course. We did Casey's Skellig tours and would recommend them!
I love your point. Very well said! I hope you have a great trip, it's a lifetime experience for sure!
