Can’t believe I watched this for 2 hours. What a great tour. Just bought my first Dutch Star and have been nerding out on this stuff. Haven’t gone far but the combination of the Freightliner chassis and the Comfort Ride made Newmar the only choice for me. I just love the combination.

Wow, thanks Mark! That means a lot coming from you! The truth of the matter is that the chassis a little more than a third of the cost of a motorhome but a lot of people don’t research the chassis as much as the rest of the coach. I hope this is helpful for those that really want to dig in and learn about the foundation of their coach!

It’s a long video for sure, however, I found our time at FCCC to be so fascinating, I didn’t want to leave any of what we saw out.

Thanks Brett , Angie. We were leaning to the Spartan Chassis for our upcoming Newmar New Aire , but after seeing this plant tour we will be reevaluating that initial choice... Again NIRVC comes through . Appreciate you all..

Me and my wife have been looking at all types of RV’s and learning everything we can about all the different types of RV’s. We’ve decided on getting a Super C and the ones on Freight Liner chassis always impressed us. After going through this tour the decision is made. Color me impressed. Now we just have to come see you in Dallas and see if we can get something worked out. I love all the information you have on TH-cam. We will be first timers so it seems a little daunting getting something like this that costs so much.😳

Did this tour a few years ago. If you’re considering buying a class A this tour is worth the time and effort. Seeing how the chassis are put together and understanding the difference in chassis types first hand will help you with the buying decision.

A well built motor home chassis is what makes the coach/home basis for miles of "ease on down, ease on down the road" ... Allows for the coach to be built & supported so can live the RV life ... Slainte' ! Cheers !

Thank you kindly for the experience at Freightliner, I have a much higher respect for their chassis than previous feedback. This video helped me in my decision to buy a new freightliner big rig....and to be reassured my RV will be covered down the road.

That was amazing. That tour was probably 10 fold what it would have been compared to what the public would have gotten. Thanks Angie. My husband and I were three years into our retirement when my husband passed away this Labor Day. I am now rewatching your 101 videos for a refresher so that I will be comfortable going out solo. In one of them you said that NIRVC can put together a kit of all the belts that your specific unit for delivered. Would that be true for a Canadian I wonder!

Hey Angie! I have to say that you have amazing RV videos. I know I will be going to NIRVC to purchase my first rv. However, I hear you talk about options for either freightliner and spartan. Can you do a comparison video between the two or do a spartan chassis review. I would be interested in the New Aire, but a bit confused on which chassis to get. I won't be able to start a purchase until next year, but would like a bit more information about the spartan chassis and why the option. Keep the videos coming and my best to you and family. Great video Brett and Angie. After watching this, I ordered my Dutch Star with the Freight Liner chassis from William in Atlanta. Not sure why any one would pay an additional $8K for a Spartan chassis!

Can their wheelbase get correctedly extended..?? Like the Mexican buses I see in Los Angeles highways. For example: marcopolo, ayats, and irizar.

It sounds good, but when I called about a problem with the fuel fill spout I was abruptly told it was not a Freightliner problem. No other help was offered. I was very disappointed.

Not any time soon. Newmar only offers Spartan on all their high end units... Mountain Aire, London Aire, Essex and King Aire.
Does Freightliner come with a side mounted radiator??

Yes, all their 450HP engines and up, have a side mounted radiator.
Do I need a CDL to drive one
Typically, no. You need a Class B license once your coach is 26,000 lbs, but always check with your state DMV.
