Hahaha, that would be pretty funny wouldn’t it? I still play the game on my iPad, have been for years, but never got to beating the time trials because it was too difficult and confusing for me so I just gave up on it, and I haven’t even gone about doing the extra dungeons yet, only done the Earthgift Shrine but never fully explored it. Also, I’m an adolescent so I’m naturally lazy like that.

They are the warriors of LIGHT. It actually makes more sense than other games in the series like FF4, FF6, FF7, FF8 or FF9 where the characters in the party (at least the majority) are just normal humans.
I like to think Chronodia is actually the embodiment of the Cycle itself. Chaos and the Fiends claim ultimate power, but are still prisoners. And the power they sought became a prison.
Interesting theory but the dungeon is just extra canonical.Or it very well could be. When you introduce a being that can manipulate time it can probably erase moments of time et cetera or bring elements from other timelines into another. THat being said, Chronodia is formless.
I always thought of chronodia as a sort of effect of tampering with time. or it could be that chronodia was the one responsible for the timeloop, a closed timeloop like ff1's needs an outside force to start it, chronodia feels like she's meant to be an implication that she was the one who set the entire game's events up somehow. She's clearly directly connected to the four fiends and chaos, so it's obvious she's not just some no name villain, but she still gets her teeth kicked in all the same. Still, the idea that she sorta shows up and creates an interdimensional labyrinth to test the OG warriors of light so she can absorb them immediately puts her on a level above chaos in my opinion. she has a lot of agency and was clearly confident that she could defeat them. Out of all the mysteries the ff franchise has to offer, i doubt we'll ever solve the mystery of chronodia.

I really wish the extra content in the Dawn of Souls versions were treated as canonical and were expanded upon, especially in regards to the story. It's so cool but it's just used for the sake of having superbosses.

I used to have so much trouble with this fight until I realized you could stack buffs like Protect and Haste...Then it became much easier to deal with and I won at about lv55. Still annoying to eat oneshots on occasion though.

i used protera and invisira on all the party and by the point i was set on the ofenssive he could'nt even touch me and my knight dealed 30 hits by attack

Can't believe that i actually beat the game (100% bestiary) with Warrior, Monk, Thief, and Red mage. My strategy to keep my team alive is that 3 of them are support and monk only atttacks and it is actually good because when monk is fully stacked (saber, haste, temper, and strength tonic) his damage is insane and just keep stacking invisira and protera. Thief's agility is very high so he's the one who is most likely to take the first turn so let him use white robe and if you fully stacked invisira and protera it's a sure win against all bosses in this game even though chronodia casts haste she will deal a very weak damage. And because i don't have white mage i try to fight chronodia at level 99.

I don't know the plot/lore/whatever of Final Fantasy 1 (and by extention, the remakes) outside of the main heroes being the chosen ones, Garland being a host or weaker Chaos, the Four Fiends being some sort of monster generals and Chaos being literally FF's version of Satan (correct me if I got some things wrong), but one thing I do know... This thing is disturbing as hell!
Well, as far as the game itself is concerned, Garland was rescued by the fiends and sent back in time. There he told the fiends to rescue him, creating a time loop. When the warriors come to confront him, Garland simply absorbs the fiends' power and transforms into Choas. There is a novel though which probably has something different or elaborates on what exactly happened. Dissidia itself also provides some interesting information in general, regarding Garland and the Warriors of Light.

A PSP is pretty good and very cheap but a PSVita can play all the PSP games that are on the PSN store as far as I know. A PSP is very easily modded though, can be modded to play a lot more than just PSP games.
9999 is the highest number in the game for damage and healing.... even though you'll never see 1000 HP, it's a spell made to fully heal you no matter what
You should of cleared all the bonus dungeons so you could aquire the ultima weapon. And also have the staff that cures a massive amount of health to your party. And have buff spells that impact your party as a whole. Just a suggestion
Dude, his ninja was using Ultima Weapon, he used Protectra (but not Invisara for whatever reason), and the Rune Staff is outclassed by Healaga Anyways, making it obsolete for this battle most of the time.

Truly Meta. You are killing time, while killing time by saving your ATB to kill a God of Time who waited to send you to the past so that you could eventually kill the beings she built in her spare time so she can attack you in the future past while you're killing time.
I just beat this boss at it best form and got sword. I f up only one puzzle. The boss itself is neat. Just do poteraga few times, cast some nulls and you should be good to go. I spammed haste/saber on my knight and Monk. W. Mage and B.Mage just keep casting heals/buffs. Also something to note, if you are 99 enemies will run from you during the trials. Trails itself for me are BS! If i only had map, but no... you need waste time on walls and going wrong direction...
At some point, probably from the Dawn of Souls release, this game with it's bonus dungeouns and 10 superbosses became so radically different from the 1987 original, is it really fair to call it Final Fantasy?
I used to fight chronodia with a very low level ( mages aren't fucking having 999 HP) and when chronodia attacks it bumps up 1.4 k I was like WTF I beat him with the judgement staff. Sounds ridiculous but true
@@DarkFrozenDepths I used monk instead of Black Mage. He was pretty easy to maintain and dealt a lot of damage with saber. 🤔 Sure, magic would wreck him more than the others but hey, you can spam protective spell nonetheless.
you had your white mage under darkness. you have to start over. unless you beat any enemies without status altered or hp low enough to make your characters kneel, you have to start over till you don't. having strong ocd in little things make playing rpg next to impossible. :(
i dont speak english thats why i fail all the puzzles, that was my battle more longer, 2 hours!!! beacouse everyone deals 1 of damage execpt the dark mage that deals 800 of damage with melee ._.

Haste is unstackable unless it's in FF2
@@gavintan9477 Haste cannot, but Temper, Protect, Blink and Null can be stacked multiples times (up to five time each if I remember correctly)

How to get f*ck in 2 turns:
Chronodia seals items and then attack your white mage with a 999 dmg hit.
Happened to me 3 times and well... shit...
Yeah, that's pretty unlucky but Chronodia never uses seal on the first turn so you always have a chance to build up defences.
Never let White Mage or Wizard standing at front line.

after seeing labyrinth is a part of SOP I was expecting to see her as a boss but looking at her design I'm not sure if they add her.

The amount of blue or red teleporters you get at the end of the labyrinth sets the Chronodia version you will fight in the last floor...
Remember not to claim yourself very powerful as "There's always a bigger fish" that has power than your grasp that not even chaos can possess.
