It's a well known fact that when Key and Minho were trainees they didn't get alone because their personalities are the complete opposite. Even though Minho and Key are now very close and they have learned to understand and accept and respect their differences, it's still a running joke that they know how to push each other's buttons and they don't want to spend too much time together. Their hatred for each other is no longer real, but they play up their dislike as a joke. So any time Key or Minho is asked about spending time alone with each other or giving each other extra respect, etc. it's a given that they will both say no -- hence why they picked Taemin. They have a complicated relationship, because even though they were both born in 1991, which makes them the same age, Minho became an SM trainee first so he is considered a senior to Key, but Key is actually about 3 months older than Minho, so it has become a point of contention -- who deserves more respect? The older one or the one with more time in the industry? It all has to do with the Korean honorific system and how you are supposed to show respect for those who came before you and/or those who are older than you, etc. But neither one wants to concede to the other. So over the years it has turned into a funny power struggle between the two of them. But as Taemin points out, these days they are always together. Key pretends like he finds Minho annoying, but really it's all an act. When Minho tries to do something without Key, Key usually ends up somehow also getting involved. Plus, their closeness is sort of like fate, designed by SM, because if you pay attention, Minho and Key are always next to each other whenever they do any sort of promotional activities. The order you see the members of SHINee sitting or standing in is the order that they always sit/stand in since debut days.They will always stand with Onew on the left, Taemin next to him, Jonghyun in the middle, Minho next and Key on the right. Even their starting positions in their choreography will often have them standing in this order. You almost never see them in interviews or in press photos, not in that order.
I think the funniest show Shinee have been on recently is MMTG. I laughed so hard watching that. (Its on TH-cam and always heels eng subs) they're on ep 181 and 183. Key and the host (Jae-Jae) had such good chemistry and u can tell she researched abt the group. I 100% recommend watching/reacting to it. 😊
Ive already watched like three times, and shown it to my non-kpop, but tolerant friend. I agree completely with what you said. At the Ariana grande part, I said almost the exact same thing as Minho. Jaejae and key are quite the pair
