I did three things differently and my cover was perfectly transformed: -Click the S-Lock closed to help line up the vachetta leather (After you’ve detached the leather.) to your desired placement spot on the LV cover -Use S-18 All Purpose Adhesive instead of the glue suggested in this video (Let the glue air dry on the leather strap/ the part that you will attach to the LV cover and the LV cover for 3-5 minutes before firmly pressing them together) -Clamp the glued vachetta to the LV cover with two medium binder clips, BUT cover the area with a folded piece of cloth to prevent indentations on the leather strap from the binder clips (I used my dust bag by folding it and placing it on top of the strap.) **I hope this helps someone because I freaked out when I followed this video and my strap came off even after letting it dry more than 24 hours. I learned the correct process by watching a video by a leather repair artisan. I still appreciate the things that I did learn from this video.

Hi ! Tbh I don’t regret it. I’m not sure how the other person did theirs but I know if you use double sided tape it will move. Mine didn’t move but I made my current journal huge accidentally and decided to try and move it even more because it’s so massive and that didn’t work lol. So moving it only gives but so much clearance . If you want to see reference for the journal my most recent WIMB shows me stuffing it into my bumbag and I mention me trying to see if I can make the clasp work with it that big. Overall I would say if this isn’t something you potentially see keeping forever don’t do it because it will be hard to sell, but if you want to keep it forever and making this change will make it work better for you it’s worth trying. I couldn’t stand not being able to close it so I took the risk.
