KateCalms--- It is what the UK would call a sponge cake, made with whole eggs, including the egg yolks, which give it the yellow color. It's vanilla flavored and especially delicious with milk chocolate frosting. White sponge cake is made with egg whites only....no yolks.

Louis Hubbard way back when when the first pilgrims settled in the lands that where already the Native Americans lands there were problems between the two groups then they sat and ate a meal together and then fought some more for land, the pilgrims pushing the Native Americans out of their land leaving them only a small bit. Nowadays in America it's just a holiday where you get together with family and friends and eat a meal together and it's a holiday of being thankful for everything that one has and what they're given. I prefer this holiday over Christmas because people forget the true meaning of giving during christmas but everyone is always thankful during thanksgiving.
