You chose the parts well. I have a thought about your editing. Fading to black between scenes is all well and good, but when you do it to shave off time in the middle of scenes, if might do to fade directly to the other segment rather than use black as an intermediary every time.
In all honesty, I kinda ship Caleb and Yasha... like they might have kept each-other company at night because they empathize with each-other. Misery loves company after all.
