Crazy that Dontai talks about how no one was listening to juices cries for help through his music and hasn’t heard some of his unreleased stuff that I feel is mind boggling how no one talked to juice about it. Like there’s no way I would hear “Dark Place” and not try to talk to juice about that, like that song is so deep there’s no way people didn’t see the signs

The reason why they didnt talk to him about it is most likely because in a studio session it doesnt seem that serious. I get the lyrics are deep and all but he comes up with those in a session and in between punches hes just a 'normal' guy. If you look up the studio session to this song, Already Dead, you can see why nobody would ask him as hes not actually in a sad state physically.

A few weeks ago I did an event with a volunteer group about mental well-being. One of the events we did was “crossing the line” and you crossed the line if you had done the sentence. The statement was “cross the line if you’ve ever committed an act of self harm” and seeing the amount of people and the individual people I knew step forward made me break down. This song makes me think of that. You always know these huge issues are out there. Odds are you probably know someone going through it.
