- Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO releases on October 11th, and the insanely large roster is very promising. However, some characters were NOT included, and I want to talk about the missing characters that I'd like to see become future DLC after the game's release!

The maps sorta missing in this game really confuses me regarding the story.
No Space Map
No U6 v U7 Tournament Map
And I know they're only going up to ToP but I find it so odd that they didn't just go up to the Super Broly movie. No Glacier map either

i hope they do some sort of episode battle dlc for under-represented or missing storylines like og or gt or movies, or even expanding on super arcs like the t.o.p. or tournament of destroyers or broly, which would give the developers an opportunity to add characters or stages from these stories into the game. maybe even a daima story if they dont stuff every character into that character pack.
thinking about it actually those 'character' packs could actually be episode battle packs for their respective arcs, seeing as they never confirmed specifically what kind of dlc it is.

Cool what-if fusions would be sick. Tiencha is such a cool idea and it makes me wish the human characters in the series benefited from Kaioken, Fusion, and having their potential unlocked. They have the coolest techniques and they're really fun to play. Hopefully modders will be quick to add lesser known characters instead of spamming 100 Vegeta Ultra Egos or Moro. Give me cool older stuff from the series that is under appreciated, or things that just straight up never make it into games even though they would work. I was more hyped to see Frieza Force Soldier over the Super cast because now I have the option to make personal challenges of using the worst fighter in the game against OP fighters just for fun.

I find it funny that rumors for Belmod in Sparking Zero popped up, and then they show him in the next Xenoverse 2 dlc story.
The GT character portion of this video seemed to exclude Super 17 (like Sparking Zero did) unless im wrong and he got mentioned so fast my brain farted and i mossed him.
Thinking about it, free dlc updates completely escaped my mind. As for characters that I definitely want in those would be Pikkon, S.17, the other shadow dragons, Zangya and Salza.
More characters from Super's T.O.P like the 3 people Roshi fought solo (Ganos and those two girls), the Namekians and the dude who Gohan fought seriously towards the middle of the tournament (the guy with the family photo). Lavender and Basil and that one bunny girl and the cat girl, both also from Universe 9. And that one superhero, mode changing dude.
I'd like Botamo and Magenta to be playable, but I'm guessing their gimmicks of not taking conventional damage is what ultimately takes them out of being playable characters (but unless officially de-confirmed I'm just doom mongering at this point)...
From Dragon Ball im mostly just interested in Tao Pai Pai, Demon King Piccolo, and Kid Chi Chi (but given the climate on scantily clad female characters in videogames I can imagine negatively charged reasons as to why she's not back and (Teen) Chi Chi would make better sense too).
I think Supreme Kai being excluded and instead being a Daima dlc character seems plausibly too.
Hachiyak is a character I'd like back as well, he was fun to play in RB2. Also, its crazy to me to think the only time an older Chi Chi has been playable was back in Super Dragon Ball Z (the fighting game in PS1 that had a bunch of crazy motions for moves and customizable attacks and stuff (Piccolo could unlock a giant transformation)
Unless I'm forgetting something given how much I put down, these are all my thoughts on the list of characters likely to come in the future.
All those are going to be dlc and it’s better for their quality

I always saw certain characters having good potential to be playable characters, like for Yurin for example, I could imagine her having some unique abilities with her Talismens, maybe doing certain things like Amy from Sonic Frontiers or maybe like Sailor Mars 🤔

Ngl i really wish gt was dlc we could have so much room for more characters and they would of been able to add more gt characters when they eventually added as dlc like there is no reason why super 17 is nowhere to be seen but fucking freiza soldier (yea u need him for resurrection F but you can exclude the frieza soldier fights while Super 17 you'd be skipping an entire ARC)

Now Chilled has become one of my most wanted characters in Sparking Zero

Part of me feels there are hidden characters that went unannounced. I obviously could be wrong but the blatant exclusion of certain characters just makes me hope they show up.

I think they'll probably make a Gohan DBS with the forms rather than adding them on. Main reason i think is cause Ultimate Gohan is separate from Adult Gohan like in the past games, so they would need at least Beast and a Ultimate Gohan (DBS).
Or they could make Ultimate Gohan a transformation for Gohan (Super) like in Xenoverse 2, that way he has 4 forms total: Base, Super Saiyan, Ultimate and Beast.

I had a feeling when Xenoverse 2 made that really awesome looking base Broly model that Z Broly would end up in Sparking Zero. Last trailer comes up and I was RIGHT! So I guarantee we'll get Belmod in Sparking Zero down the line. Til then we can play him in Xenoverse 2.
I just want 23rd budokai rep, piccolo going giant would be awesome and goku would have tons of moves from that fight alone, chichi aswell
Personally i think we will get extra characters, outside the fighter passes, like maybe they just didnt have all the time to add them all, which is fine, plus if not we are getting 20+ dlc in the passes, so we have chances for our missing fighters

supreme kai is most likely not in the base roster because he is shown in the daima trailers to be an important character and as he is an already fully trained deity he would have the same move set as he has already hit his peak so instead of having 2 of the same guy with the same move set they just saved him for the daima dlc
I mean They probobly woudn.t have the same move set Im Sure shin in daima will Do more then the Same Moves that he used against buu which even then Shin had like No moves from that fight in bt3 They could Have done shin adult With his bt3 move set and Shin With his daima mive set with a bit of Z
I think we're not getting any Goku's in the DLC packs so they can give other characters time to shine

Considering no one knows when Super will return, selling legacy characters as DLC makes sense from a business point. Does it suck? Yes, yes it does not it makes sense.

There is no fusion story as far as we know, so the movie characters just are in the game to be in i think.
If we get a superhero movie goten and trunks they could just give them a skin for GT goten and trunks I think that could work pretty well for those 2 similar things could work for GT vegeta’s other forms have him be a skin for the last Z vegeta and if they really wanna go all the way with the skin they could give it the option to transform to super saiyan 4 when you have the GT skin equipped just like some costumes will change attacks they could give the GT skin for that vegeta an extra transformation if there not gonna get there own slots eventually I hope they at least get something like that

Legit question for dragon ball fans, ik we've waited for this game for years but does this not bother anyone ? Them intentionally cutting characters and making them potential future dlc, that just seems scummy imo like this game should have all the characters the previous installments have
Dawg… we get 181 characters at base and we have an extra series to cover in the story mode. It’s not scummy that they had to pick and chose featured characters to further summarize a much larger story than before. Honestly, we’re lucky to get as much representation of the older series as we currently have on the base roster.
