Man, Illari's gameplay loop felt so smooth and so fun after the buffs in season 9
I have no idea why they'd nerf it because it didn't make her good-similarly to the Symm buffs they took away in the span of 0.25 seconds. Like who are these nerfs catering for? Cause those two weren't an issue in plat/diamond.
Cause they dont know what the hell they're doing, Lifeweaver buffs are the perfect example of why. Just buffing random ish in the kit in hoping that it works seems to be their gameplan atp.

@@JustAnotherTwinkfr. I said the buffs they were talking about better not be anything with healing numbers….and here we are. I say they should nerf heals to 70, make them charge faster, and make it if you charge to 50-60/70 then it blasts to allies so he has pseudo aoe. Then make it so the change from primary and secondary is faster, and make it so doing damage makes you charge heal faster. Then nerf tree ult cost

But he’s new, and they’re stubborn so he prob won’t be getting any sort of rework until way in the future, ntm the fact that they have about 2-3 other, older characters that they’re going to “rework” first. I mean they can barely even make a game mode anymore, just 5 different ways to capture the same point. Blizzard lost it a whiiiile ago but like I genuinely don’t understand how a dev team can get buffs and nerfs this wrong.
I still remember when they changed how long you have to charge to one shot with Widowmaker… that was years ago I think and I STILL do the old timing sometimes. Muscle memory is stronk 😅

Them making her damage based and then her primary being nerfed because anyone who falls to a support with a bruised ego complains too much.

I have no clue why the devs keep giving illari a buff but then nerfing her when they’ve had no issue reverting buffs before
They 1/3rd reverted the buff and trust me the healing buff is more impactful in lower ranks as now you heal 345 per charge vs 315 that 30health clutches up so much it’s still interesting that they chose to semi revert I’d say it’s like a net neutral or very slight buff if you heal alot on illari and don’t play her like pure dps
@@haku4841 But the healing can't even be sustained for a long time... You can barely heal effectively, and most of the time it's spent on a tank. Not saying she's a shit character now, I'm saying the nerf to her shots was so unnecessary. Could've just buffed the healing and left it at that.
@@haku4841why would you play illari to heal? There are better healers for that. She has no utility and getting kills is her only job in the game.
@@haku4841if you heal a lot you are not supposed to play illari? She has no utility, her damage is all she has. Other supports either provide more reliable healing or more utility
The Illari fire rate nerf hit WAY harder than anyone thought.
Her damage potential was already dwindling after the HP buffs.
And now they go after her damage again without appropriately adjusting her Utility value.
Damage is her only real value.
She isn’t baptize who can pump out damage and mass burst and aoe healing simultaneously and save your entire team with one button.
She isn’t Moira who can also mass burst heal and live practically forever.
She is support. Not dps
@@lufka3267 yes, but she’s a support with no support capabilities. All other supports provide healing/ some other support.
Damage boost, discord orb, speed boost, anti heal, mass cleanse, Baptiste lamp, life grip.
Her support besides healing is supposed to be damage. But they nerfed that away.
If Baptiste can do more damage and healing with multiple forms of burst aoe healing and arguably the best support ability with lamp.
They can easily do more for Illari.

The healing buff wasn’t enough to offset the damage nerf they should’ve buffed it back to 120 HPS and then made the resource gauge last longer

Why is the cooldown for a damaged pylon the same as a destroyed one? Doesn’t make sense.
Yeah that's so weird to me, I feel like it needs to be halved if you take your pylon down before it's fully destroyed
It took nobody any time to get used to the rhythm of her shooting with the s9 buffs, it was just right... she's the support that they made to get dps players to play support, did it work too well?
This hero can't catch a break... I was just getting used to her fire-rate. But i am definitely dropping her now, there is no way i will play her in this state and in this meta.
The Illari nerf feels pretty bad to play with. The old tempo felt so smooth and responsive, now it feels like I'm waiting for my shots

She already got a nerf in season 9 by the fact that she doesnt prok the dps passive and her healing is reduced by it, why I get they would want to up her healing numbers but I dont get why they would lower her dps when thats the only reason you'd pick her

One of my least favorite changes ever, i LOVE illari, one of my absolute favorite characters in any game ever, i just wanna have her be good :(
I think if they gave illaris beam a HoT effect, like moira, even if it was kinda weak/short, would be way better then just buffing her raw healling output, cause it would make it so she can deal with chip dmg better and would give her more time to deal dmg, also holding her beam for a long time is really frustrating cause you most likely will lose healling since no one stands still to get healled(whtch the HoT would help aleviate, cause you could just heal in short bursts then let the HoT do the rest). But i might be completely wrong here, im kinda new to the game, just saying how i feel.
Did she need this nerf? It kinda feels like she hasn't been a strong pick for a while anyway. I haven't played Illari much at all after her release nor I have seen her being played often, so the question is genuine.

I was playing illari today and was wondering why I was doing so little damage after my first shot, thought I was maybe pressing too fast and I mean I was but it was because her timings all different now (unless it’s been changed recently which if that’s the case, I fully admit to just being very bad now).

They just have ballots during the season patches and pick a random bitch to nerf to make it seem like they know what they are doing because they have no idea who to nerf/buff (It has to be because how can a group of people be this dumb???)
I think it's because they're making her healing stronger. Give her more heals but take away some of her damage. Illari is such a damage-centric support though so welp >>
@@Merui021 that’s the main issue lmao, they keep making characters and then changing things abt them that are completely counterintuitive to the way THEY made the character. Like the saying goes, to be a fly on the wall when it happened, except I think I might’ve gotten sexually assaulted if I was a fly on blizzards walls :(
@@Merui021which is funny because they made the dps passive to lower overall healing in the game. At this point I think AI can do a better job than these devs. They lack any common sense.
I think a cool little tech would be nice. Maybe she recovers one full shot after reload
I agree man, I dunno why they keep messing with her. She was fun again last season but now they made her less fun again. Someone at Team 4 hates her. They are so damn clueless on what makes Illari fun and effective.
They should make her heal / sec 510 instead of 115 since it design to be “No You Will Not DIE!!!” Beam (ngl that would be kinda broken :P )

I think this character sucks. Her ultimate should be able to go through shields Again because there are too many ways to counter it. her bounce cool down should be on four seconds. Lastly, If they don’t want to change her tempo her damage should be set at 80 per shot. Her temp should go back to .2

It takes longer for that meter to get to full so you have to wait longer between shots if you want full damage. That with the increased hp everyone has made illari useless.

wait doesnt her change just make the time u can fire again a bit slower. no one charges it for 0.25 and fire anyways. it doesnt say the charge time is slower no? i am still haunted by the mercy changes. before it was so smooth, the ga are 1.5 plus 1 second if u ga the whole thing, a lot skill expression. now they fix it a bit but it still doesnt feel as smooth and why backward ga is nerf, im still confuse. the s3 mercy healing changes felt so good, everyone expect it to be nerf like half but the dev jsut remove it completely. :( maybe they can also make a change, u can dmg boost and heal but at 40% of the effectiveness like the april fools, could be fun
the charge time is added to the time to begin charging, so overall fire rate it slower. as a support that primarily creates value by being a pocket cassidy, it was just an unnecessary nerf.

I actually think she's better overall, i been playing her loads since launch and i feel the healing buff means you can heal a tank properly now, i used to have to change if there wasn't enough healer but feel she's able to do proper heals
you literally just heal 30hp more than before.... and thats just one pulse of the pylon, if the tank will die bc of this 30hp in 3s, he will die with ana+bap spaming on him
Illari works best when there is another Support that can handle the majority of the tank heals, letting her do damage with her primary fire. If you play Illari with a Lucio or Mercy, yeah, you’re gonna struggle to keep the tank alive lol

Then why not just play the other supports? Who can heal better and has utility. Illari’s only utility is dealing damage. They are taking that away.
I like how he placebo'd himself into thinking the charge-rate changed, it's very confusing wording but it was her spam-firerate that got nerfed, the charge rate is the same

Her charge rate didn't change at all, the fire rate did meaning how fast she can shoot immediately again at the lowest charge. It feels different because of that fire rate increase making it slightly longer to wait for the full charge is all. She does the same amout of damage per shot as before like this overall was a buff to her since only bad players were firing her gun asap instead of charging it.
Uhhh sometimes you just need a 30-40dmg shot to finish someone off
