Thanks for the info my guy! Was going to see how the BTR fishes this weekend. Good call on the bears! I'm a ranger in the area as well, and I have had almost all of my close calls with mama black bears near water sources just like that stream you were walking. And hell, if you're by yourself, I would be just as worried about Mountain Lions. Stay safe and keep the videos coming!
None of these fish are native - there are 3 subspecies of cutthroat that are native to Colorado (Colorado river, Rio grande, and greenback) but those are the only 3 trout that are native. Also, unless you’re in grizzly country, I wouldn’t worry too much about the bears! Fun stream though!
Thx for the info! I was referring to them as native because they aren’t stockers…at least for a hundred years or so but yes they technically Colorado isn’t their home range.
Gorgeous stream and beautiful healthy little fish. The colors on em are amazing, you can tell they eat well. Keep up the work man, great vid!
Thx brotha🤙🏼
Another enjoyable video. The instructional fly fishing is a nice add. Keep up the great adventures and sharing. #keepcasting!
Glad you enjoyed it!🤙🏼

Oh absolutely, I’ve personally seen 3 bears this year in that canyon already & 2 with cubs. I wasn’t going to take any chances 😂
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!

“Wild” would be a more appropriate term
For the fish?
@@cutthroatcasters yes, a wild fish is one that is not stocked but can also be not native
