He wanted this power as merchandise.
He wanted this - to be recognized and known.
He did not understand - that the HS points to Jesus, and brings all glory to Him.
He does not understand that Christ must increase, we to decrease.
He only understood the now, and not the eternal.
Poor Simon, he should have been happy with his hula hoop for Christmas.

Many point to the prosperity gospel preachers as sellers,
and they are right, but if we think of the origin of "allowances & indulgences"
should we not look to the Dark Ages and the Catholic church
where you could buy a soul out of purgatory?
