And I think this demonstrates why you want to get a hardware synth. If you only ever feed midi notes from your DAW and sweep the filter … you might be better of with a VST. But if you actually play it like an instrument then it‘s a completely different story. Like, who want‘s to play a guitar with the mouse ;)

Very interesting video. Great sonic possibilities with this instrument. Here, with your demo we could understand it’s a great tool to get wonderful sounds to create and play music. Not only to turn knobs… :-)
Well, Moog's MiniMoog is absolute pleasure alongside it being the Poly D's target. Playing a vintage working MM is an experience too. The excitement is in the imperfections. Combine it with select outboard and ya might not leave the studio. But yes, super glad these exist and with useful bonus features within.
Could you please show all your knob settings and rocker switch positions and tell us what reverb unit you’re using..... this is a great video..... the knob settings would be great starting point for all us beginners.
Too beginners if you are interested in what he is doing, you need to watch the video at least 50 x’s! You must train your ears and explore…that is All, welcome to synthesis
The one thing that helped me 40 years ago, buying a model D and, by extension of ease of use, just start twisting knobs and flicking the switches. You’ll soon see how fun and easy it becomes to create and soar with patch design. I sold mine 25 years ago and can’t wait to get back in now that Behringer is around. What a save and close enough clone!
hey joe can i ask if you would reccommend this synth to another musician ive alrewdy got the korg minilogue but this seems alot fatter and warmer might sell the korg unless they complimemt each other but i was wanting to get either the poly d or a deepmind 12 i know id probably get more with the deeomind but i enjoy playing with knobs and am not afraid of no presets and i have to say i want the new behringer 2600 probably get that last unless hey have some big release news just wondering if you held onto yours and if you are fully satisfied by it mamy thanks for taking the time to make this demo
Well the Minilogue is certainly cool too, but yes the Model D/Poly-D is a different tone and weight (you will certainly dig it, it's essentially a minimoog+. There a way to keep it and add a DeepMind12 first (so you have a Juno+ poly) and save and add in a Poly-D (or vice versa)? The Mini will add a different tone to these.
@Jonathan Frieze Keep the Korg on hand. I have both the Poly D and Deepmind 12 and recommend getting either one or both if you can. In my opinion, you won't regret it. They are both great synths.
I got one recently. Im still just really learning all the possibilities. It is better than i could possibly have imagined for the price.
Totally agree
A rare video of an actual musican playing a synth. Thank you.
I’ve seen more than enough knob turners to last me the rest of my life.

I call them "knob twisters".

Some good old honest noodling. Superb!

The reverb here is the Meris Mercury I believe. There are so many tutorials out there to guide you through this synth.
👍🙏💚🧡Excellent! Your video drives my love for this synth.
Awesome, thank you!
Only a question: are there external effects or not? However this Is a very ,very good demonstration,my compliments from Treviso Italy Cattarin Luciano
Yes. Meris outboard fx here.
It is a brilliant sym. I have got one I play war of the world's
che effetto hai usato per il riverbero e il delay?
That's a Meris Polymoon (delay +)

Very nice sound and demo. Are you using any kind of reverb? Thanks for sharing.
(correction!) Thanks! Yes, a Meris Mercury and PolyMoon used here.
Meris Mercury. Which version?
Can you add a sustain pedal to this synth?
No, with a synth like this the sustain is controlled by setting the. 'release'.
heard there is an issue with very low output, is that true?
@@rsvp9816 no, didn't notice that.
I too get latency on Poly mode ? Learning a lot about sick Terminator music ; ^)
Try turning your attack knob up. If that doesn't work try turning your decay knob down. I dunno trying to help
@@BossDrSample Thank you . Better monster and paired it up with Grandmother wow..
What Reverb are you using?
My guess is Valhalla am i right
Meris Polymoon
Nice verb.
I ♥️ Meris!!
Better than Moog 25
I did NOT expect to dig it as I've sat with vintage MMs years prior but it quickly became apparent this a keeper.
Mal eine künstlerische Demonstration, keine technische.... Danke... 🎶⭐☀️
Thank you! Very nice to hear.
terrible demo
well thank you
