So here’s the theory:
It all starts with high hopes and Brendon wanting to shoot for the sky. Hey look ma I made it is about him making it to the top and dealing with the struggles. Dying in LA is about how no one cares and how he is forgotten. Death of a bachelor is him referencing his fame. Don’t threaten me with a good time takes place in his mind where the octopus symbolizes evil and greed and he finds other ways to be on top and powerful. Then king of the clouds and LA Devotee is him torturing kids to find out how to be powerful and they tell him about the devils key and how he started searching for it. Miss Jackson he finds the keys owner Miss Mary Jackson, Who has a job in archaeology which explains why she has so many ancient items. He tries to take it from her but it escalates and he ends up killing her and is afraid it may happen again but the voices in his head tell him it’s okay. Say amen is where people start to notice the devils key and how it’s missing from Mary Jackson who was supposed to take care of it. People start to try to kill Brendon but he fights back and that girl at the end is Mary Jackson who made a deal with the devil to come back and retrieve the key. This is gospel is how he’s looking back at all he’s done and finally realizes it’s wrong so he’s finally ready to die. Emperors new clothes is when he goes to hell and accepts it and turns into a demon for what he’s done. It’s nearly witches where he makes deals with witches to turn himself into a ghost to make things right. FINALLY The ballad of Mona Lisa where at his funeral where he makes them kill Mary Jackson. To make things right. Then Ready To Go because he’s ready to go to hell. Hallelujah this is where he starts to reflect off of his actions and apologizes to Mary Jackson.
