Helman Ghorst coming at me with his 2 paragraphs of lore oh Nurgle no!
Yeah, it has been bothering me since the first game that he put him into the game. Considering where he is located now it is obvious that they didn't really have plans for poor old Ghorst
@@Mortarion-xt9wp Thats what you get for being the first ever dlc
Funny little coincidence (or not?!) Ku'gath can get up to Seven blessed symptoms, truly blessed by grandpa sacred number
R u sure? Theres tech to get more blessed symptoms so i think its more than that. Hate to rain on ur parade :/
10:40 waaait. So blessed symptom would make it into 100% healing cap reduction?! That is incredibly menacing by itself for many factions. Plagues are back on the menu boys!
and ku gath has more blessed symptoms, so this will make it interesting on whether playing ku' gath will be more favourable than epidimius in the long run
How does it get calculated, though? Additive or mutiplicative?
As in, if the enemy has +50% battle cap healing, and you apply -100%, is he left with 0 (multiplicative) or -50% (additive)?
I assume it is additive, because otherwise a blessed symptom would be even more broken
yes
@@nordos From what I understand those buffs are additive: if enemy has +50% battle cap, it means he has 150% battle cap so reducing it by 100% will leave him at 50%.
@@piotr7805 yeah, that is my assumption as well, but I learned that sometimes it is unintuitive or spaghetti code, leading to a different result and I thus wanted to make sure :P
Ghorst has a skill to increase the healing cap for zombies by 50%, right? So the Plague wouldn't be as devastating compared to hitting normal VC or Tomb Kings
They should've given Kugath's skill tree a "Hates Undead" trait right next to "Hates Dwarfs" as a joke.
I've noticed the quality of the 3D porthole for characters is loads better
Yay! Content!
we make it to grandfathers garden with this one
I like you can now tell the probability % of where a plauge can spread instead of leaving it up to
“It probably spread somewhere”
Unless they patch it you can get plagues turn 1 by building a military building then canceling it. The game thinks you gained 200 infections thus triggering plagues mechanic.
Overall, these changes look really fun and I am excited to play him again after the update. My one and only complaint is that they moved the hero structures around. Having them attached to the main settlement building and getting the capacity from trade resource structures was really nice, and actually made dealing with Ghorst a lot less painful - two Exalted Champions of Nurgle dealt with both Ghorst and his Corpse Cart fairly easily, and you could have that by the time you had to actually fight him with the old set up.
Nurgle is my favorite of the four main chaos gods. Followed by Tzeentch, then Khorne, and Slaanesh in last (I really don't care for Slaanesh). So it's good to see all these awesome changes and goodies to the Nurgle factions.
Oh another Nurgle lover. My list is something like Nurgle-Slaanesh-Tzeentch and then Khorne.
Only nurgle
Ku'gath is actually quite doable vs Ghorst these days. Hint: hero spam.
The real trouble for me was Imrik and Greenskins, Ogres.
That's why I always rushed into Cathay to avoid all that crap. Could be harder if I have to deal with Gelt.
Ghorst is no problem if you just learn to rush him effectively. The problem is when you let his armies meet up. Like in this video, him sitting in Stone Bay on turn 9 pretty much means you missed the window. If you play the start correctly you should be moving out of Stone Bay to isolate Ghorst on turn 6.
Cant wait to see your opinions on the dwarf changes
"short" 17 min.
allso dwarfs
I'm just glad his nurgling buffs are now factionwide and are now in one skill. A bit of a shame the units have to be rank 7 because nurgling are your cannon fodder but it does make it a bit less OP. Ghorst could use that for his zombies. But at least the skill is worth picking up. I also like that he has lost his nurgling focus and became more daemon focussed.
So which Nurgle legendary lord seems to be the strongest?
what about the changes to Ungrim Ironfist. ive seen that he has gotten an overhaul. Not to mention since in the DLC we can see that alot of the new units are just slayers. with his son, the demonslayer lord, dragon slayer hero and Garagrim ironfist LH. just so many new things and could make it more fun
If you end up doing a dwarf video soon, could you potentially touch on the age of reckoning mechanic's effect on longer games?
Pretty much everywhere I've seen about it goes like "here's how great it is for the first 20/30 turns, ta-da" and that's it.
I enjoy longer games and have a hard time getting info about how it works, like how hard will it be to fill that gauge later on?
Does it scale with owned settlements? if it does, does that mean that it will eventually become impossible to get any grudge settler units unless you limit yourself to how many settlements you own, which would make a world conquest run awkward.
The heavy push for an aggressive playstyle and the really quick unlock of units feels a bit bad for me. but I can live with it.
Potentially being locked out of gaining certain units entirely is a whole nother can of worms though, and a potential deal breaker for me.
Any chance we get the dwarf livestream today? I was hyped for that!
These all seem like great QoL changes. I kinda wish they had just tweaked the cycling of support buildings rather than remove it entirely as it is a very unique faction mechanic but I get it. Having your income drop into the negative during the early game when Kugath is broke all the time feels bad.
Question: The Rot Knights, when playing Warriors of Chaos do Nurgle Chaos Knights promote into Rot Knights now or are the Rot Knights there own line?
I assume that it’s the same situation as the Doom Knights for Tzeentch where it’s a promotion option for Chaos Knights of Nurgle.
Do tell, Sotek - your ending creds song is from Gothic, right?
The best way to handle Helman Ghorst is to lure him with a second army on force march then ambush with Kugath.. With this tactic i never had any issue with Ghorst! Easy wipe
Wait garrisons can gain experience? I never noticed that lmao. But getting them to rank 7 sounds impossible!!
Hey sotek, i hope you understand how much the community wants Glottkin in twwh3. And its discouraging saying he probably wont be added. Itd be better if you encouraged it because as a content creator listened to by the devs, itd help represent the large want for him in the future
The real question though: Can Ku’Gath’s AI actually effectively use these tools to expand past the Dragon Isle or is he going to keep squating there until another faction decides to wipe him out.
Probably the latter. But we'll see.
Auto-resolve for Nurgle was kinda sorta addressed a couple of patches ago, which has lead to Ku'Gath now sometimes taking over the area and growing to a decent size.
@@Ares42 Ya I've seen Ku'Gath expand deep into Cathay in one of of my campaigns.
Are we lore shaming now? :-D
Where is the promised Karl Franz video and the Empire's new tech tree? >:(
I really hope they didn't butcher the kugath campaign. Sorry. They already did awhile ago when they increases his available summons from the get go (Originally it was just 2 nurglings) It was the only genuinely, mildly challenging campaign. (Besides OG kairos but that was taken away too...) But if its even easier than it already was i'm going to be very disappointed. Legendary in wh3 is about as hard as 'hard' in wh2, and i'm getting really tired of difficult campaigns being removed for lets say 'reasons'

Who cares, chaos is cringe AF.
