And let's not forget that the Noct is *manual focus only* although I'd say that the IQ from the Noct is better than the Fujinon, not close to 7 times better tho.

now test that 50 1.0 vs the viltrox 75 1.2 - that would be a clash for less than half the price

Could potentially get my hands on a Viltrox 75mm in the upcoming months. Won’t have the 50 anymore tho

Yeah I totally agree, this lens is very specific, the only reason i was thinking of getting it was because i have the older 56 f1.2 version and i feel when im doing weddings it doesn’t give me as much in frame as I prefer and im always trying to get back more, and as you mentioned doing couple full body shots thats my main work and yeah just not sure how different it would be to the 56? Or worth the upgrade

Mind you I’ve never shot either version of the 56mm so I’m not speaking from experience, but I would imagine that the extra 6mm of compression of the 56mm would make up for the 1/3 stop slower aperture, so I think depth of field would probably be about the same. I would only really consider upgrading if you feel like you’re missing shots with your current lens, and even then I’d probably go with the 56mm f/1.2 mkii for the smaller and lighter design, better image quality and faster autofocus

I feel like I have to try this lens someday. But when it comes down to it, I think the 56mm mk2 is superior in pretty much every way. I doubt f/1 would have saved me in a low light log cabin shoot I did a few months ago-the photos came out OK wide open with the mk2 but definitely pushing high, even max ISO and pretty “mushy” results if peeping-not always clear it was focus/shutter speed related. There is simply a quantity/quality of light you have to have sometimes for that Fuji sensor, doesn’t matter what lens is on there. Fwiw the 23 f/1.4 yielded similar results but man, I LOVE that lens. A true performer rarely misses a beat and looks great.

Try processing your Fuji raws, especially high iso ones through dxo photo raw 3

I use mine on my xpro 2 and I love it. But I also only naught it for gas hahaha

With some lens filter should not be a problem during the bright day
