    Hi Jared. Last weekend, I took advantage of your "extravaganza". I have been trading for 15 years and you have put together the BEST trading plan I have ever seen. Money management is the most important factor of this business and the way you keep reiterating this is stellar. Great stuff my friend. See you in the chat next week.

    The 2'/15' slide blew my mind. Great lecture.
    In other news, we all love charts. But I still think your money management lecture was your best. At least, it had the most impact on how I trade, how I learn, and how I develop as a trader.

    Hi. Thank you for all the informational videos. I have been trying the 3 bar play. I know that it works in multiple timeframes. My problem is that I have at most 30 mins after the market opens to trade due to having to go to work (I am in the Central time zone). So, I would also like to trade over my lunch break. Would you use your same pre-market watchlist to look for new 3 bar plays over lunch? Or would I need to look for gaps on different stocks that occured after the market opened? Any guidance on trading over lunch would be greatly appreciated. I usually have at least 1 hr during lunch to trade. Thanks.

    @Live Traders Jared's videos have really grown to become my favorite supplement to my own path of learning through other free sources like investopedia. I am really considering taking the courses but I will have to save and it is very costly for me personally. I have a spread betting account as I'm in the UK. I understand principles of reading charts is the same but would the course benefit me just as much even if i'm not trading physical shares?
    Any Live trader viewers vouch for the course?

    Importantly, you also gave some insight into what to do with opening gaps, as that's a really pressurised area to assess whether or not your are going to miss an opportunity or dodge a bullet.
    Gaps are scary.

  • @ashleycrowder883
    @ashleycrowder883 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks Jared! The thing is, what time frame do you look at when you think the trade might be working Against you. Obviously you want to give the 15m candlesticks time to set up. It's too early to take profits off the table just because it crosses over MA on the 2m chart wouldn't you say? If the 15m is still In your favor?

    • @ashleycrowder883
      @ashleycrowder883 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 15 min candlestick with a perfect set up that's green could then trail back down and turn red... Leaving you with just a topping tail. Like a false breakout. You could have stopped out even or even taken Profit but you wanted to give the trade time to work. Then ... You watch it tank Into your stop loss. Gaa.

      Many FX trader use it...most intra-day stock traders DON'T use it. They use the 60' and Daily chart for that...and then 2' or 5' for entry.

    Jared, you said that the trifecta was having the market align with the higher tf/lower tf of the stock. Considering that we're always looking for RS/RW, would it not be better to have this over the former?

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's ALWAYS best to have RS/RW...BUT, you still don't want the market directly against you. Slightly against maybe ok...BUT trying to go long while the market is tanking is TOUGH...it can be done...but why make it so hard on ourselves. Cheers!

    • @callformotivation
      @callformotivation 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Live.Traders Live Traders Confused. I thought RS/RW meant the stock was not acting like the market. Another example is, market tanking and a stock near the HOD. In these cases we'd still trade this stock long would we not?

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@callformotivation There are 5 main market 'conditions' and the 'extreme' ones are the ones you don't want to go against...Sure there are always exceptions...but having market help is always BEST...not always necessary, but it's definitely a lot safer way to trade, YES, even with RS/RW.

Yesterday I found one between 10&11(eastern time) with SES on the 5' chart. But I think I recalled in one of your lectures that one of your criteria for the 3-bar was to only take it on 5' and higher when it is later in the day?

    i am such a dumbass. i had a nice couple days which led me to sizing up to 6% risk per trade. after a couple days im down like 55%. and this is just after watching his video on MM. i find myself vehemently blaming myself for taking 'bad' trades when i lose big money when in all reality i would be ecstatically rewarding myself for taking those same trades had they worked out. So i've been actually operating in this business all along for pleasure, buying a feeling of being alive, instead of for financial gain.

      i just always be seeing these youtube warrior traders, magic mike, you name em they trade like money management is for pussies. and they build small accounts to the moon without ever blowing up. i will never stop believing that i can do it just like them. but in reality i simply can't. not even close. Maybe with perfect 1% money management i'll survive, but will i ever thrive? definitely not like they do. and that upsets me and causes me to repeat the vicious cycle.
