The zombie/undead are called "Wights". The blue skinned people are White Walkers (or Others in the book). White Walkers can bring back the dead to make Wights. The dead can't become White Walkers which is why they were taking Crastor's sons to make more White Walkers.

I personally prefer the way they handled Shae in the books. In the books she was playing Tyrion, in the show, they make her fall in love. Either way, in my humble opinion, Shae is for Flea Bottom.
@@lavinder11 So, in your opinion someone who betrays and cheats is the same type of bad as someone who just simply prefers prostitutes over non-workers?
@Aegon23 He's a John. He's no better than she is, may be worse, actually considering he regularly buys women who were sold into slavery by their parents without thinking twice. And anyway, in the show version, Shae betrayed him because he reminded her that she was just a plaything for him. If he didn't have the mindset of a typical JOHN, he wouldn't be in the mess he currently found himself in. She offered to run away and leave Kingsland ing behind, he he chose power over the so called love of his life. She followed suit for survival.
I really want to know which books you were reading. Cause Shae wasn’t playing Tyrion in the books. She was literally just his escort. He paid her and then that was that. She was also threatened to testify against him meaning he killed her even though she didn’t do anything to him. Tyrion turns evil in the books.
I think protecting Arya, gave the hound a purpose and taught him how to be a little bit of a better person which probably made him feel good about himself for the first time in his life
@28:06: Arya’s smile fades and she becomes wary because she recognizes Pod’s name. He belongs to the same family as Ilyn Payne, the King’s Justice, who decapitated her father and is at the top of her list.
I mean she'd do it for her own survival that's enough of a valid reason. When she stayed instead of leaving on the boat like Tyrion told her to, to me that was the first clue that she was comfortable and knew she didn't need to leave because Tywin would protect her from Cersei. She was probably telling him everything Tyrion was saying and planning. I think that it was way earlier than the court appearances. Tywin likes to humiliate Tyrion so of course he'd find out asap who his new boo was when he came back to king's landing and hire her to spy on his son.
@@redtez I believe you're right. I think Tywin might of had the ship she left on stopped and boarded and her brought back to him and with her heart shattered she was real easy to coach to say whatever Tywin told her to say.
Remember when Bran and that group were being held captive by the mutineers, before Jon and some Nights Watch take it over? There is a few seconds where Jojen looks at his hand and it's aflame. I believe he has seen his demise and followed the path anyway because it gets Bran to the destination. His hand was aflame like his body was burned.
The Hound and Brienne fight was the first MAJOR deviation from the books (they haven't crossed paths let alone swords by this point) and man, it was actually so cool.
You probably already know this but the actor that plays Mance Rayder also play Dumbledore's brother in Harry Potter Deathly Hallows. He lives under Hogwarts. He let Ron, Harry and Hermione in through the tunnels into Hogwarts halls where the rest of the students were staying!

One of her biggest mistakes. Imprisoning Viserys and Rhaegal even though Drogon was misbehaving. What are they supposed to learn from that?! The Targaryen arrogance believing they have huge magical beings like dragons under their control...

34:40 in court, Varys had to testify to save himself, but gave no damaging evidence. He mostly just stated the things that were done in public and others could have also said.
The old man Bran sees at 26:08 is Brynden Rivers, more commonly known as Lord Bloodraven, a Targaryen bastard. You saw him in Daemon's vision in the last episode of hotD. He's the blonde dude with red birthmark on the side of his face that looks like a raven. Look back at that scene, you'll see him sitting on that same tree (though both him & the tree & much younger in the vision). Bloodraven will also (probably) appear in GOT's new show "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" in 2025. In the book, he officially appears in book 3, but we may see him in season 1 next year. Bloodraven is one of the most iconic characters of GRRM's GOT related work. What do you think about doing audio book reactions? Hedge Knight/A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms books are pretty short, but good reads. I think they're a good way of getting into GOT books, you get to know GRRM's writing style & there's only 1 POV. Ask Girl Nettles more about it. She's often a guest on David Lightbringer's Livestreams & it's through his channel that i got interested in the Hedge Knight stories, listening to him & Grey Waste Tim reading the books & discussing symbolism etc. Some of their theory & breakdown videos would be good material for reactions i think, like the explanation of the Dragon Bond & Daemon's Dragon song from season 1
They couldn't bury Jojen anyway. They threw the bomb on him to prevent him from becoming a wight (snow demon😂). It is why they burn the bodies of the dead, so they can't be resurrected.
Cersei wasn't 'evil' for telling Tywin the truth, she was worried that he will try to control Tommen as will Margaery, basically tearing him apart. She wanted to let him know that everything his is fighting for (aka Tommen) is a lie
15:00 I suspect that the conflict in Meereen is at least partially inspired by the emancipation of the slaves in the U.S. There are a lot of similarities, whether it's intentional or not. They both fight wars against slavery, recruit and arm the slaves to fight, and have no plans for the transition. In both cases you have droves of former slaves with no work or homes, mixed in with a population that are resentful because they've just lost a war. You also had classes of slaves. House slaves were a different social class to field slaves, and many house slaves in particular stayed with their masters. And most striking is that in both cases you have an uprising of masked terrorists. The Harpies are similar to the KKK, which arose out of the southerners who felt the north was using the freed slaves to economically and socially repress them during reconstruction.
I can get the Hound defending Arya Stark from someone who said they were given a sword by a Lannister. The Hound witnessed the Lannisters going after the Starks, it's why he offered to take Sansa away- His trust for anyone sent by a Lannister to find a Stark is probably nonexistant.
The seven kingdoms includes the North, so for anyone who wants the throne, Robb is a threat for just wanting the North's independence. Out of the two Baratheon brothers, Renly was the one who could be reasoned with and make a deal with Robb. He also got the Tyrells on his side through mariage, they're rich rich. The hound is right, I think he was just gonna look after her like a parent at this point. Varys sees Tyrion's value, good heart and intellect. Tywin is trash for that. He had it coming, he's a lot like Cersei and he knows Tyrion is smarter than all Lannisters combined. It pisses him off that he's a better man than him.
"Luka just caught that L" As a Mavs fan I gotta say that's pretty cold, Brandon must be one of the MVP voters 😂 edit: I love how the Get GoT List has ended up being numbered 0-4 & 6-10 because multiple characters are so unforgivable that the list needs to recognize them permanently lmao

Its all good with Jojen though. He knew before he even met up with Bran exactly how he was going to die. Its sad but he went to his death willingly and courageously.
In the books, after Tyrion kills Tywin, Cersei becomes obsessed with thinking he is still in the walls and knows a passageway they don’t and ends up burning the tower of the hand down.

Not a spoiler since your there now, but in the books it goes into way more detail with the Brandon's abilities, and i dont remember the exact wording right now but whenever he wargs into hodor after the first time it states that he controls him, that hodor shrinks away from his mental touch like a beaten dog
He had respect for Ned, but as far as he is concerned Robb stark was a traitor and a rebel who abandoned his king. Hence the difference in perspective.
cerseis dad is exactly why shes became the way she is- the show doesnt do it justice but he was almost nonexistent as a father role, he was always absent and when he was around he was spiteful and cruel to all of the children, even while he only hated tyrion. cersei is essentially her father - some even reason shes not as bad as tywin because she held some version of love for her family- while her father just held contempt for everyone , a lot like lord bolton. imo i think all his kids got the justification and reason to tear their dad apart
Are you referring to both Wights and White Walkers as snow demons? Regardless, wights are similar to zombies, except zombies are mindless and move by instinct. Wights are controlled somewhat like puppets, or maybe more like wind-up toys that you set on a course and they do that until told to do something else. In this show they're wound-up by the white walkers.
21:00 I always found this scene more interesting considering how Kit & Rose got together during/after this. must have been an emotional moment to have to act like you’re actually burning the body of your other half. and it was on this day, that Tywin did not in fact shit gold

However Tyrion took the news as "You've known this thing for how long and you are telling this now?!" It broke Tyrion's trust and it had great ramifications to his character arc. For good or the worst, this moment was pivotal to Tyrion's journey.
exactly! the writers omitting the revelation, and by extension of that, Tyrion's moral descent is what ultimately ruined his character. they should've allowed him to be unapologetically revenge-driven and evil
They also changed Shae’s murder. They made it seem like she was a lover scorned that betrayed him and even had her take a knife up against. In the books she didn’t love Tyrion and was just doing what he paid her to do. She also didn’t try and fight him, he just straight up murdered her even though he knew she was scared and just did was she was asked to do.
@@rai2423 That change isn't bad
@@maelguiraud3568 It is bad. They whitewashed the character. And I just found it kind of creepy how they brushed off how he murdered the woman he loved like that.
the reason why we can't bury Jojen is to prevent Jojen to become those skelly people, the minion of the white-walker (forgot the name of it); and Jojen knew what would happened to him as he got the ability to see people's demise (and himself), that's why he was calm. rip Jojen.
The zombie/undead are called "Wights". The blue skinned people are White Walkers (or Others in the book).
White Walkers can bring back the dead to make Wights. The dead can't become White Walkers which is why they were taking Crastor's sons to make more White Walkers.
@@Iam74YL0R yes, that. Thank you for helping 😊
The Hound and Arya are my favorite duo and characters in the entire series. The seasoned old hound raising the little wolf b*tch just makes so much sense. Hounds and wolves are related, so you have to respect that he protected her until his end.
1000%
Ye I loved them together. I hate how she treated him at the end tho. Yes he wasn't the nicest guy in the world but he protected her a lot (and her sister) and she repayed him by being cold af
@@mrlegkick91 I like to think of it as she couldn't kill him, because she grew to like and respect him. But she couldn't tell him that, because she still hates that he killed her friend the butcher's boy.
You don’t need to call her a bitch like that tho that’s a child bro calm down
So…I just realized y’all can now watch Coldplay’s GoT Musical featuring many of the cast members 😂❤ You have to!! It’s part of the experience!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼😃😃
I personally prefer the way they handled Shae in the books. In the books she was playing Tyrion, in the show, they make her fall in love. Either way, in my humble opinion, Shae is for Flea Bottom.
So is Tyrion, obviously since that's the type he prefers.
I think protecting Arya, gave the hound a purpose and taught him how to be a little bit of a better person which probably made him feel good about himself for the first time in his life
Live by the arrow, die by the arrow. RIP Ygritte.
I’m glad you said you couldn’t breathe once Tyrion found Shae with her back arched waiting for his dad 😩
@28:06: Arya’s smile fades and she becomes wary because she recognizes Pod’s name. He belongs to the same family as Ilyn Payne, the King’s Justice, who decapitated her father and is at the top of her list.
Shae wasn't working for Tywin the whole time. Her heart was broken by Tyrion so it was easy for Tywin to get her to be a traitor to him.
Tywin likes to humiliate Tyrion so of course he'd find out asap who his new boo was when he came back to king's landing and hire her to spy on his son.
it is possible, however, and it’s a theory i hold, that the tent Bronn found her in back when he brought her to Tyrion was Tywin’s
@@pearljammies But didn't Tywin only see Shae for the first time when Cersei pointed her out at the dinner before Joffrey's wedding?
@@redtez I believe you're right. I think Tywin might of had the ship she left on stopped and boarded and her brought back to him and with her heart shattered she was real easy to coach to say whatever Tywin told her to say.
Heartbroken or not, if she sincerely loved him, she would have never betrayed him.
The Commentary y’all do is TOP TIER!!! I mean it’s so real lol
The quality of this channel is wild, very good job my guys! ❤
Bran: Man I guess he had to go shoot maze runner..😂😂😂
Tywin never saw her as a person..he saw her as a pawn in his games. Period.
Dragons are smart creatures. Their worries just aren't our worries lol
😮 I did not know this! I knew there was something familiar about Aberforth.
"Under Hogwarts" ? What, like some kind of troll ? I swear, the amount of misunderstandings from people watching the movies but never bothering to read the books... He lives in Hogsmeade Village, where his tavern is also located. Only the secret passage is underground.
Did not know that he played Aberforth. I recognize him Rome and other films, not HP.
@@lavinder11he is currently in Rings of Power
@maxxie8058 You've got too much time on your hands! I'm sure they know what I mean. I've watched Harry Potter twice so I'm not an expert like you are!
I was telling them about the actor, I never claimed to be a Harry Potter expert 🙄
I wonder if his smile (from the thumbnail) is from death #1 or death #2? 🤣#2 get it 🤣🤣🤣
Me 10 minutes later... oh crap now I get it😂😂😂
@@kimcottingham8043hehe crap
Keep in mind the Hound was bitten on the shoulder and has major infection, which gives Brienne the chance to win.
I remember this episode vividly, the world was shook
During Joffrey's wedding Cersei points Shae out and Tywin says to bring her to his chambers
One of her biggest mistakes. Imprisoning Viserys and Rhaegal even though Drogon was misbehaving. What are they supposed to learn from that?! The Targaryen arrogance believing they have huge magical beings like dragons under their control...
"Rabid integration of freedom without guidance" God damn mate guys a poet
I came home from a very drunk night with friends and I appreciate that I can watch you guys as I pass out❤😂
In the books there’s a running joke that Tywin is so rich he 💩 gold. When Tyrion offs him, the narration says something like “It turned out that Tywin Lannister did not, in fact, 💩 gold.” perfect LOL
Can't wait for season 5 reactions.
Adison reaction to Brienne hittin the Hound on his nuts and the repeat of Brandon's ooohhhhh made me cackle like crazy. 😂😂
Brandon literally said. "Brother, eugh." 😂
🤣😂 -Brandon

"It's that easy let back too" Underrated observation
Shae is 100% the top betrayer in this show, hands down. I thought what she did in the courtroom was the worst, but this...
I can get the Hound defending Arya Stark from someone who said they were given a sword by a Lannister. The Hound witnessed the Lannisters going after the Starks, it's why he offered to take Sansa away- His trust for anyone sent by a Lannister to find a Stark is probably nonexistant.
6:23 “look at my clothes. Drip. Fly..” 😂
'I cant stand lil old folk like this bruh' 😭😭😭😭
The innocence of Addison to think Arya was getting help for the Hound👏🏾
36:35 no not the whole time. She really did love him. She’s just stupid.
Tywin was on the pot because Oberyn had poisoned him but the show cut that plot out...
I think Arya didnt kill the hound because she already took him off the list. Just my theory
This episode originally aired on Fathers Day 😂 great episode
"Luka just caught that L" As a Mavs fan I gotta say that's pretty cold, Brandon must be one of the MVP voters 😂
edit: I love how the Get GoT List has ended up being numbered 0-4 & 6-10 because multiple characters are so unforgivable that the list needs to recognize them permanently lmao

HE'S BEEN HELPING HIM THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!
the blank stares at 26:44 KILL me. we all felt that way don't worry guys

😂😂😂 this comment…
I feel horrible every time I type it in the search box too.😳😳😳
Its all good with Jojen though.
It’s about to go DOWN.
35:42 Addisons reaction to Shay was classic. Her character made me so angry toward the end😭😭😭 Lil Tyron needed get back for real 😒
This comment is so disturbing. The way people normalise her murder is weird.
Murder is NEVER normal.. and it IS a show, and game of thrones is a brutal world.. So by people I hope you’re not talking about me. A broad stroked comment like this when you don’t know “people” is a little unfair as well. Cause I bet you were happy when Joffrey died.
Not a spoiler since your there now, but in the books it goes into way more detail with the Brandon's abilities, and i dont remember the exact wording right now but whenever he wargs into hodor after the first time it states that he controls him, that hodor shrinks away from his mental touch like a beaten dog
“You got your box, I got mine.” Took me out
Man I love watching yall!
One of my favorite episodes.
Same! This episode is a masterpiece
Yes one of mine too
i cant wait till you guys get to some of these other seasons/episodes. best GOT reaction channel out there.
21:00 I always found this scene more interesting considering how Kit & Rose got together during/after this. must have been an emotional moment to have to act like you’re actually burning the body of your other half.
and it was on this day, that Tywin did not in fact shit gold

i like to call this season the season that game of thrones gifts their viewers. for 3 seasons they killed the heroes we love. then this season they killed off so many villains. jofferey, lysa, tywin and possibly shae
Can't wait for yall to continue this journey into the next season.
I need yall to start season 5 yesterday!! Love the content
The thing with Varys is, he told the truth. Lol I didn't like it either but it was the truth and nothing more. It does show alot about him.
There is a brilliant deleted scene that tywin calls pycell out and he drops the act 😂
He didn’t want to kill Robb. He wanted him to bend the knee. He knows the Nights Watch are not beholden to the laws/politics of Westeros, so he doesn’t expect it from Jon
I don't think Shae was playing right from the start. She turned when she was found out. What else could she do if she want to live.
14:26 the sad reality is this really happened after the US abolished slavery. Many of the former slaves would go work back on the plantations they were freed from. Sharecropping essentially became slavery with another name.
She evil you say? … oh just you wait and see. She gets worse 😈
Annnd that's why you always lock the bathroom door
That’s a life lesson I never thought I’d learn from watching a tv show.

Stannis didnt just want Robb dead but thinks through blood magic actively caused his death
I don't often feel the urge to say spoilers but damn I'm looking forward to some things 😂
