When my babies were little we were told to cut a slit down the whole length of the cob in the middle of the row of kernels. They could then gum or chomp the cob and easily get the juicy part out but leave the tougher kernel covering on the cob if desired. Gwen might have figured the cob out if given enough time to experiment. So cute

The girls were certainly more animated and vocal today. They loved the corn but definitely more interested in playing with the cob. Love the faces Guinevere makes = serious face always makes me laugh. Anastasia growling today was hilarious. Happy 4th to everyone. 💥🇺🇸

This reminds me of when my daughter was their age. I used to give her corn on the cob, but i would cut it into smaller sizes so that she could hold it. She absolutely loved it and it certainly helped when she was teething. The funny thing is, daughter absolutely hates the taste of it now, just like peas, but I have photos of her in her highchair actually eating both..lol
I also love how the girls are talking, so cute. I loved it in a previous video when Daddy was sharing his flounder and he was able to get Guinevere to say "Cha, Cha, Cha" 💞
I am teaching them to sign. I helps open communication and prevents frustration on both sides. Most children comprehend much sooner than they are able to verbalize what they want or need and by teaching them to sign they can now tell me if they want water, milk, more, or if they want to eat, or are all done. I've also taught them please and cheese and plan on continuing to teach them even after they are talking because I think it is a great skill to have😊💖💖

The toddlers in our family LOVE corn on the cob, which is great if they are teething. We do cut the cobs smaller, almost like a cookie, which they can hold in their hands easier and eat on the sides. Along with being bibliophiles we are also logophiles and love the meaning of words. Love that Gwenevere in Welsh means fair one. And Annastacia in the Greek always reminds me of a Phoenix who is reborn. Jersey corn is said to be so sweet because it's the Silver Queen variety which was developed to slow down the conversion of sugar to starch during the growing season, so that the sugar turns into starch after it is harvested.

It’s the type of corn that’s planted. We plant corn that’s called Gotta Have It. And it is super sweet. You can also add sugar to the water you cook your corn in to help with not so sweet corn. They were a hoot today. Keep giving them the cob. They will figure it out momma. Good job momma.

Guinevere sometimes sneaks food to the dog by dropping it while my back is turned or if she notices I'm watching her sister😅 But they for the most part are very good about not throwing food😊💗💗

I had corn on the cob with dinner last night. When I got dentures years ago, I was so concerned I woudn't be able to eat it on the cob, but I've had no problem at all, thankfully.

No they have perfect hearing😊 I teach them sign language because they, as with most babies, are able to comprehend everything I'm saying but can't verbally speak yet. They have been able to understand me since they were about 6-7 months old. Once I began signing to them it was only a matter of time before they were able to sign back. It prevents a lot of frustration on both sides because now they are able to sign eat, water, milk, more, and all done among other words. So instead of them wanting milk and not knowing how to say it and crying because I don't know what they want and they only know crying gets them things now they can simply sign and I don't have to try to guess😅 Also twins sometimes speak later than single babies because they develop their own language between each other that only they know😆💖💖

Hello mamma. I was just curious. My boy is my first so everything is new. Your babes look about 2. How did you help them with their hand and spoon coordination.
Anastasia and Guinevere are 17 months😊 I mostly just showed them how to use the spoon. If he will let you hold his hand with the spoon from behind you can show him how to scoop that way too! My girls don't like when I try to hold their hand with the spoons, but they like to copy what I do so I sit and eat my meal in front of them with a spoon and show them how to scoop. It may take a while, but he will figure it out😊 And if he chooses to use his fingers, that's okay too🤗♥️♥️
Just a quick question,sense babies don't chew real good,how did they do with the corn? Sense they might not chew as good sometimes they will upchuck corn hard to digest. My favorite thing to watch in the morning. C.M.
Be careful with corn on the cob can chock very easy on it.breath in a little cernel and it gets stuck in a lung. Can't cough it out. It happened to me if I was alone I would have died that day.

In the beginning Anastasia was the one that dove right in and ate everything and Guinevere was the not trusting one. Around 11 months they seemed to switch and by 13 months Guinevere was shoveling everything into her mouth and Anastasia was investigating all her food😆 They do eat well though, just at different paces😆💗💗
In Chilliwack, BC, we buy peaches and cream sweet corn. The season is always too short. I love corn on the cob. My mom has always cut hers off the cob and then when my brother had his teeth extracted he did the same. I have dentures, but I have never cut it off the cob😋
Ana is the most precious angel ever. So well behaved and smart as well.

It prevents a lot of frustration on both sides because now they are able to sign eat, water, milk, more, and all done among other words. So instead of them wanting milk and not knowing how to say it and crying because I don't know what they want and they only know crying gets them things now they can simply sign and I don't have to try to guess😅 Also twins sometimes speak later than single babies because they develop their own language between each other that only they know😆💖💖

I think that I heard Guinevere say thats tasty and also taste it as she was handing it to you. I have been hearing alot of words lately in their baby talk . Oh my goodness. I was just looking at today's video, Alicia and saw the corn on the cob video and definitely had to watch. I wish I were a moderator for you, some of these comments are totally not necessary. I would delete them and if that particular person continued to be rude concerning your parenting skills, they would be blocked from enjoying these precious little girls. Ana was spitting the kernels out when u cut it off the Cobb. I think it felt funny to her. They just like playing with it. And Guin is too cute when she goes “mmmm!!!” as in YUMMMM every time she takes a bite . So darn cute 🥰

Hello mamma. I was just curious. My boy is my first so everything is new. Your babes look about 2. How did you help them with their hand and spoon coordination.
Anastasia and Guinevere are 17 months😊 I mostly just showed them how to use the spoon. If he will let you hold his hand with the spoon from behind you can show him how to scoop that way too! My girls don't like when I try to hold their hand with the spoons, but they like to copy what I do so I sit and eat my meal in front of them with a spoon and show them how to scoop. It may take a while, but he will figure it out😊 And if he chooses to use his fingers, that's okay too🤗♥️♥️

Just a quick question,sense babies don't chew real good,how did they do with the corn? Sense they might not chew as good sometimes they will upchuck corn hard to digest. My favorite thing to watch in the morning. C.M.
Be careful with corn on the cob can chock very easy on it.breath in a little cernel and it gets stuck in a lung. Can't cough it out. It happened to me if I was alone I would have died that day.

In the beginning Anastasia was the one that dove right in and ate everything and Guinevere was the not trusting one. Around 11 months they seemed to switch and by 13 months Guinevere was shoveling everything into her mouth and Anastasia was investigating all her food😆 They do eat well though, just at different paces😆💗💗

In Chilliwack, BC, we buy peaches and cream sweet corn. The season is always too short. I love corn on the cob. My mom has always cut hers off the cob and then when my brother had his teeth extracted he did the same. I have dentures, but I have never cut it off the cob😋
