Couple tips: There's an undo button, it's the orange button next to the buildings Environmental effects are permanent once you meet their requirements, that's why you had 30c snow You're supposed to burn tundra to create the Ash for forests, it creates much less heat than combustors so you won't be too hot to grow forests The whale wasn't appearing because kelp forests don't count as ocean tiles EDIT: Robert Thompson in the replies also pointed out that you get unlimited tries to find animals, those numbers in the log just show previous scans
@@infinitebane It's definitely not that type of game for sure, I just kinda enjoy seeing the thing scale from a run around shooting things as best as you can game to the point where you're a mass damage dealing lawnmower of heavenly justice. These three are kinda like a line-up of Luck be a Landlord, Baba is You and A Monster's Expedition to me. Vampire Survivors has the luck based but also synergy based massively scaling thrill that luck be a landlord has, until either of em gets stale. Terra Nil has both the strategic approach and the very chill vibes that Monsters Expedition showcased, and Can of Wormholes, while not as powerful as Baba is You, has a similar approach with brain melting mechanics and some overworld shenanigans Edit: Going back through Tyler's back catalogue, I guess cactus game might be a better comparison to worm game maybe? I remember it being decently complicated but I'm not sure it was as impressive as worm game
I was dying watching you covering up all the fertile ash in the beginning (it's the same as fertile soil-can be irrigated directly, no toxin scrubber needed, plus it makes for good forests) but this was a super fun video, thanks for making it!
graAAHGHHHH the flashback to my favorite series 3 seconds in- I absolutely adored frostpunk, and though I know a return to it is likely impossible, it is something I would love to see one day. Frostpunk 2 had better come out eventually! It's been teased for over a year now and it's still roughly estimated for 2024. I hope Tyler ends up playing it!
I think it's still snowing when it's extremely hot because unlocked environmental effects are permanent and you kind of worked out of order. Based on intuition and the order of the effects list, it looks like the expected, most "natural" way to rebuild a polar ecosystem is to crank the heat _up_ to melt the permafrost, encourage plant growth, and bring small animals back (the ones with the highest warmth requirements being migratory birds), and _then_ bring the heat down by freezing water and lava until you reach comfortable polar temperatures, at which point your hardy polar plants will be well-established and the snow can start and wash out the remaining wastes and ash.
That frostpunk edit in the first 20 seconds makes me nostalgic. Still my favorite series EVER on this channel. So so good! Where’s the DLC/sequel series :)?
Hey Tyler! Huge fan of this series! It reminds me a lot of your Frostpunk series, where the strong aesthetic of the game couples with your problem solving skills and goofy quips. I’m absolutely loving this series, and glad to see you enjoying it as well!
Seeing a wasteland slowly be restored to what it should be never fails to bring a smile to my face. This may be a short game especially for its price, but the sheer amount of feelgood it's been giving me so far made it worth it to me. It's also satisfying to fulfill every condition at once.
I would like to see more of the thinking time, perhaps it hampers the video performance, but for me anyway I'd watch it and then you'd get that sweet sweet ad rev from me
8:50 no this is not an "obsidian farm" from what i know those require dripstone this would make cobblestone and would therefore be a cobblestone generator not an effective one as it would be pretty hard to get any cobblestone out of it but it would create cobblestone
FYI, when you move buildings with the monorail they activate again, so you can reuse irrigators and climate adjusters for only the cost of the monorail movement instead of buying a new one. It's very useful for the climate changers because then you don't have to worry about having them too close to each other. I often just move a humidifier back and forth between two good humidity locations.
I just love how this game takes the concept of Birthdays: The Beginning but decides to actually make it a decent game instead of the trainwreck that that game was.
To get the whales you have to drop the temperature pretty low. And the sequence of events in this level, it's better to raise the temperature to get all of those achievements, and then drop the temperature down second rather than lowering it and then raising it.

I think he knew the effects were perment, and was just pointing how illogical it is that's it's snowing while it's 35, or even 50 C (50 C is 122 F)
The last animal requires very low temperature, I think.
Yep below -10 °C
the whale is a near extinct species in the real world and it is called a narwhale
narwhals require -10
First 30 seconds and I’m already trembling at the power of THE ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER difficulty

Thank you for the aurora borealis interlude, editor. Very calming. :)
Seymour must have been a terra nil tester and didnt want to spoil the game for supernintendo chalmers
Between this, vampire survivor and worm game you once again have a certified banger lineup of series
There's too many things to look forward to
Personally I don’t like vampirer surviver but the other 2 are amazing
@@OvrLmYdIwx Me neither, I feel like it’s not as satisfying seeing an end result than the other 2.
I don’t like the worm one as much.

Probably the most satisfying game to play perfectly, thank you Tyler for the series
Well Tyler, you're a fun fellow, and you clean a good biome.
Tyler, the tundra's on fire!
Just letting you know, you don't have only 3 chances to find an animal. You can scan as many times as you would like!
I was dying watching you covering up all the fertile ash in the beginning (it's the same as fertile soil-can be irrigated directly, no toxin scrubber needed, plus it makes for good forests) but this was a super fun video, thanks for making it!
It’s the second time I’ve watched someone do it and I had your reaction both times 🫠
In this episode Tyler terraforms the arctic to ‘save’ the polar bears
36°C is hardly helping the polar bears, true xD
and ends at 35 C (95 F)
Those are special tropical polar bears.
Saving polar bears by melting the artic
Don't worry about the temperature, the snowfall will cool it down.
Loved the aurora part, how it zoomed in and we just enjoyed the music. Thanks editor man!
14:00
Of all the words Tyler pronounces in a funny way, he pronounces lichen correctly??? What a beast
Aurora Borealis?!? At this time of night? Localized entirely within Tyler's biome?,,, And I can see it?
6:30 is the best “like and subscribe” segment ive ever seen on youtube

Loving this series, it's so calming. TH-cam's compression did not love the snow, however
3:40
The Image is sourced from "Ballad of Buster Scruggs."
It is the prospector from one of the later stories.
20:30 it probably needed kelp and ice in the same area
It needs ice, ocean and... -10C so not really an option with +30C
@@tomnar3054 I think 20:30 means polar bear and you are talking about narwhal.
42nd 👍
Terra Nil is just perfect vibes. Love this series!
i love this game, it’s so satisfying and tranquil. also, the editors are doing amazing with this series! i love the timelapses and stuff.
Loving the series! So peaceful, yet so rich and interesting at the same time!
God I love this series, all the meat of this game without any of the staring into space trying to make something click. Just pure, condensed puzzling.
3:40 This is truly the moment Tyler Tight became Alienberg
This is probably my favorite series that you have done
Love the frostpunk reference right at the beginning, I just rewatched that series, still just as amazing
I just got an ad... Not any ad, an ad for Terra Nil
While watching Terra Nil

This Frostpunk DLC looks weird
Yes
Love the frost punk ref at the beginning :) thanks editors for that one
I’m so happy this is a series. I absolutely love the graphics, the commentary, and the editing. 10/10
A tips for forest biome: to save some economy from using a lot of combustor for forest biome, you can use dehumidified grass to start fire
Hell yeah, this game is so calming to watch!
I love the Honor among thieves clip on the beginning.
I can't believe I actually liked when the "lichen subscribe" came up

The editing for your recent videos has been amazing btw
I’m pretty sure the whales needed open ocean near ice but you put them in kelp forests near ice.
This game kinda reminds me of a flash game called Tinysasters 2, just on a much bigger scale.
omg the throwback to Frostpunk was so good
who would have thought the game could get even more chill
everyone in the comments saying you aren't limited to 3 scans when he literally did 7 of them.
by the way, the last animal requires -10 degrees!
Please do more of this game! Seriously love watching this game 👍
absolutely wonderful, thanks for continuing this, also preddy liiights

I never thought of it but I feel frostpunk would be a great series
13:25 It is the same. However, the game require _less than_ negative five degrees.
8:50 no this is not an "obsidian farm" from what i know those require dripstone this would make cobblestone and would therefore be a cobblestone generator not an effective one as it would be pretty hard to get any cobblestone out of it but it would create cobblestone
This would actually be a stone farm, as that is what is created when lava flows over a water source
@@corb805 no duh idiot what else kind of farm would it be
Honestly idk if you saved this map leaving it with 30°C seems kinda risky for those animals
Yeah, this part of the game doesn’t follow logic.
I’m just gonna assume the scientist set it up so that the temperature will fall overtime.
commenting to help with the algorithm! also I love your content keep up the good work!
A whole 12 minutes after you posted it you already have 3k views! good work please keep it up speaking from all your devout subjects

It's too hot to grow a forest, but snowing at the same time. That are some deep chill forests 😂
This game looks fun. Can't wait for you to play more!
this is the most fun series u have made. i love this game and I am really looking forward to more!
I love that Tyler noticed that the lava didn't make obsidian when it touched water
Tyler’s “pengling” reminds me about Benedict Cumberbatch so much😂
I got stuck at this level. thank you so much!
8:51 cobblestone farm :)

Additionally, you can start a controlled burn with dehumidified grass, if you don't want to burn tundra or fynbos
You have 20% of your subs. Who check almost every video. You and the editors are slayin
I loved when he said "Its combustin' time" and combusted all over the place
Truly one of the combustions of all time
Tyler! The grass is on fire!
man the lichen subscribe one got me good
6:29 Done - and here I am.
Plz more videos of Tyler combusting, it makes his biome sooo hot

8:50 its not gonna make obsidian it'll make stone
I just love how this game takes the concept of Birthdays: The Beginning but decides to actually make it a decent game instead of the trainwreck that that game was.
Man the frostpunk intro i wish that game had more content it was sooo fun to watch😢
World 4 looks really hard. You need to balance space for your power and buildings. Good luck with that
I really loved it when he said its combusting time and combusted all over the place
To get the whales you have to drop the temperature pretty low. And the sequence of events in this level, it's better to raise the temperature to get all of those achievements, and then drop the temperature down second rather than lowering it and then raising it.
Btw snowfall, or any type of fall for that matter is highly desired because it rids of all toxicity and infertile soil.
Awesome video, Tyler. If only the whales thought the same.
polar bears are my favorite animal, thank you tyler.
the narwhals need the actual temperature to be like -5. it isnt very descriptive but thats what it means when it says "cold"
This was so cool to watch!
There is no limit to scanning animals. You can try as long as you want and change the environment again to find spots
Such a cozy series
I loved the frostpunk reference
I feel like snowfall should be one of the last things you do in this level, because they are many ways that it screw you over
Tyler missed the 4th animal everytime ! congrats Tyler on your concistency !
Think the whale wanted more open ocean tiles, you kept including kelp forests you created.
Idk if you saw my previous comment but thank you for zooming in on every animal.
terra nil videos go so hard
ayo
There has never been anything as comfy as watching Tyler play this game
Love the frost punk reference
a balanced undo option would be a good addition to this game. perhaps you'd get less undo's the higher difficulty you are on or something similar.
There is an undo button, its the big orange button next to the buildings
strange he didnt use it
Loved the video. Was wondering if you had plans to play Dredge since you played the demo a while back and the game recently fully released
yes, you sure restored the icy area, leaving it at *35 C* (that's 95 F)
Nice Frostpunk
