I bought this year and had it in a planter. It bloomed and it took quite a while for the hummingbird to go to it. Than in late August it stopped blooming all I had was very healthy foliage’s can you explain what happened. Thank you
I have not had that happen, however, my first thought is did you fertilize the planter. There are some plants that just don't like fertilizer. I don't know if this is one of those plants, but with what you are describing that would be my first thought. My Vermillionaire do not get fertilized and they are still blooming in early October.
Some day Heidi... lol
Some day soon I too will have a couple of cuphea containers!!
Thanks!
Cheers
HaHa! These are amazing in the gardens this year!
Do you have to deadhead it? Some of the flowers are falling off and then there is just a little stick there. Am I supposed to cut it back? Thanks!
These do not need deadheading nor need to be trimmed back.
