I think they have somewhat related keys, Eb vs. F minor I believe. And the motives while not the same have kind of a similar contour, both undulating in ways and having a similar driving, underlying harmony. The structure is fairly similar as well, an extended sonata form, although the symphony is a bit more developed and complex of course. Oh, and the "tone" of the music, what he was trying to express, I hear both as the sound of soldiers going out and fighting/conquering, ending with great triumph. I know of his dedication to Napoleon, but unfortunately I am not too familiar with the story of Count Egmont. Both works are fantastic.
Hi guys, I need your suggestions for videos to make. All of them will be considered, apart from the three: Rachmaninoff's concertos (currently working on it), Chopin's concertos (not interested) and Liszt's etudes. Thanks a lot! :)
Can I be a bit selfish and ask you to do a video on my compositions, please? You can do either my arrangement on the Psycho theme or the Introduction No. 3... :)
Hmm, How about Beethoven's first Piano Concerto (I found a midi,www.suzumidi.com/eng/beethov8.htm)? Or Maybe one of Brahms's Piano Sonata? Hmmm, Chopin's first Piano Sonata could be wonderful :)
Karl Richter passacaglia in c minor by Bach, Horowitz s interpretion of Bach Chorales such as bwv 639 or "Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland". I would love to see Sviatoslav Richter interpretion of well tempered clavier tough.
Ohhh, brings back memories, good stuff. I enjoy your videos. Keep working on what you're doing, I'm excited to see what you'll bring in the future. Jolly Good mate. Good job.
+PianoCzarX If you count from the beginning, the 7th chord is skipped, which should have been at 0:17 The chord at 0:18 should be preceded by a short chord in the same fashion as at 0:13
It's really impressive. I have noticed that you use records by this Orchestra very frequently in your videos. What does make them different from the other ones in your opinion?
That's okay! I use Czech National Orchestra's recordings here because they are free to use and I'm able to monetize them. Unfortunately there's nothing special about the recordings themselves - they are quite mediocre compared to those by orchestras with a higher budget.
I mean, they're technically correct and exact. But I do agree that they aren't on such level as some more well-known orchestras. I was just wondering about this, as I am from the Czech republic. From among recordings, I consider the best those by West-eastern divan orchestra lead by Daniel Barenboim. They are really passionate and dynamic.
Great background in the information box. Goethe's tribute a bit patronizing. It's harder to write great music than poetry. Beethoven is greater than Goethe.
I didn't really like this performance. I can't quite feel the drama and force that I feel with Abbado's rendition with the Berliner Philharmoniker. I appreciate the work and effort you put into these videos, though :)

7:39 is a direct quote of the Fifth symphony right before the entrance of the scherzo in the finale.

Hi, this is a public domain recording by the Czech National Orchestra.
It's really impressive. I have noticed that you use records by this Orchestra very frequently in your videos. What does make them different from the other ones in your opinion?
Btw, I just saw the credits at the end of the video. I feel like an idiot a bit :D.
