I feel like it’s been a real chore lately just to go to the grocery store.
I know what you mean.
Yeah, I went to the store yesterday. I try to go out only once a week right now so that I am not really around other people.
Smart idea! I’m doing the same thing.
Yes, but it makes going shopping a lot harder. When I am shopping for the week, I have to buy many more items. I also have to make a list and plan out all of my meals for the entire week, which I am not used to doing at all. I am also trying to find new things to eat and new recipes to try. It makes cooking a little more interesting. Usually, it’s not so bad because we can go out to restaurants to vary what we are eating.
Yes. I miss going out to restaurants.
Right, me too! But for now, we’ve gotta do what we’ve gotta do.

When I go to the store, the entire cart fills up with food. It also is a hefty charge after all of the items have been rung up at the cashier. I usually just go to the store about every 2 or 3 days, so I never see the total bill go that high. But, I guess if I added up each time I went to the store on an average week, and also included the times I ate in a restaurant, it would probably end up being more than I am spending in one week now. It is just a shock to see the total and pay it all at once!
I can imagine.
Then, the other part of the chore is loading all of the food into the car, going home, and then carrying all of it into the house. After that, putting all of the food away and finding space for each thing is time consuming. Nowadays, after going shopping, I feel like I need a nap!
