- After fishing with these live targets for about 7 month, I can truly say that these lures catch fish. Fishing with these live target has changed how I look at fishing with lures. I used to be very skeptical about fishing with artificial lures because I would never catch anything, but now I fish artificial lures more then anything else now.
The live target swimbaits have been producing some really nice fish for me these past few months. In this video I will be going over the pros and cons of fishing with these lures. I will be also giving you tips and tricks on how to fish them.

Thanks for the video but I was hoping for a little more info on different ways to fish the lures. You did mention "wake-fishing"; skipping the lure on top of the water. I guess I just need to try different methods. I just got three different Live Target lures in the mail yesterday; the mullet, pinfish, and a croaker. Also, I've never attached an inline hook before so, I need to figure that out too.

Well right now is the best time to get out there for them if they are open lol. Summer time is prime time for snook off the beach.

I love the weedles fin that they bring. I dont put more hooks. I inshore fish with it in Puerto rico and skip it under mangroves. Its the best bait ive ever had. It holds up verywell compared to other baits. Nice vid man 👍

What type of line and reel you have
I'm about to just start ordering snooks instead of lures because I can't catch a single one. I have tried X-Rap, Vudu Mullet, Vudu Shrimp, DOA Deadly Combo, Savage Gear Pulse Tail Mullet, live bait shrimp, and a few other lures. The only thing I can catch is Mayan cichlid with sliced white bread on a hook.

What size vmc you got on there? What sizes do you recommend for the thread fin shad and mullet?
I forgot to be honest, but I bought the medium sized ones. You don’t need a giant one.

I have two. I haven’t been able to fish them that much yet.

Can you store live target plastic baits in a regular Plano 3600?Do they react with other plastics like Z-mans do??
I’ve stored mine in regular Plano boxes no problem. They don’t react with other plastics. At least that what I’ve experienced.

its not superglue the you should be using but mend it. It will seal all the tears and preserve the softness of the lure. worth every penny when you're using expensive swimbaits.

I normally use size 1/0 inlines. I normally use 20lb braid 30-40lb leader and my rod weight is 3/4-1oz.
@@SupremeFishingSF I see the inline VMC Coastal blacks come in 1x, 4x etc. Which ones? Also, did you ever feel like you were losing fish with only the top hook? Another video complained about that.

It’s just the regular 1/0 VMC inlines. In some cases if the fish short strikes it they won’t get hooked but if they hit it all the way they get hooked.

What rod do you generally use when throwing these swimbaits
I’ve been using medium heavy rods to throw them. Some of the larger swimbaits you might have to go with a heavy to cast them out. But I find that medium heavy is a good rod to go with. Also anything between 7-9 ft will work fine.

Bro you call that “done” ? I’d still be using mine if it looked like that. After 2 jacks and 1 small snook, my lure is almost torn in half and the tail is gone.Total bullshit for durability. Better off using a 5 pack of a random brand swimbaits with a weight worm hook.

I have tried them but I haven’t fished it enough to know how good they are. Tbh I prefer throwing the sardine or mullet live targets because there are so many fish that eat those bait fish.
