With the A series mini engine/gearbox in the sump, With proper design, it works well, Check your kit car,and most modern bike engines, All use engine oil to lube the gearbox and a wet clutch Keep up the good work
Suggestion: On the invoice for the Suby engine, make sure that you state: "Reinstall a cam timing belt that has been supplied by the customer. No warranty is provided for any consequential failure or damage to the engine that is caused by the failure of the timing belt."
Good video, nice to see the explanations of some of the things you do and why you do them. Lots of things included in this one, just little things, but as a none car guy it was interesting to learn.
Did a total rebuild on my then boss's MG Metro 30yrs ago, really went to town on it,valve guides, block bored oversize, new pistons, new big end and main bearings, new oil pump ect, boss rebuilt the gearbox.
Subi engines are always off on the timing marks even from new that's why they have the belt marks. I have done hundreds of subie t belts and they are all that way
Just a thought for any one with the old type mine engines share there engine oil with there gearbox, consider using motor cycle oil as its made for this type of set up? That what i done for years but know the old saying do your own research.
Since you seem to be the "go to" guys for Cosworth engines, it would make sense to buy or have built, a torque plate for the final honing process of the cylinders. You'd be amazed at the reduction in crankcase breathing due to straight cylinder walls, and the rings seat in almost instantly.
Can't believe they call themselves Proffesionals without using a Torque plate for honing & also a Profilometer to check correct bore finish afterwards, amateur hour at best
You bin pumping the iron Lee? The guns are looking good mate...... Look forward to the tear down on that supposedly rebuilt Cossie motor for the story on that.
I FOR SURE would be having an engine that I cared about gone through if I saw that RTV sealer in the oil filter base. That crap is 100% gonna be somewhere in the oil galleries blocking flow.
I would offer no warranty leaving that belt on , new one end of.. The story of the one hour Cosworth lump, I dont get it was recon 10 years ago its run for a hour , wheres the owner been banged up? Why would you leave the thing sat there all that time.
Get the top of that fire door painted, pdq!! kindly drop the clickbait, no new belt on the sube, would'nt care if the belt was fitted last week, get a new one fitted, then full warranty, cover yourselves. dont go back to old skool ways..otherwise, great vid. cheers.
I think the combination of Isaac and yourself on the vlog work great, good content again 👍👍
On the Subaru engine, you can buy adjustable idler pulleys to help with timing up the engine if the block and heads have been machined. RCM sell them.

Those early BMC transverse engines/transmissions, were years ahead of their time.
The assembly room is looking good. Now is the time to finish painting around the door jams.

Looking forward to the A series engine build. Keep up the good work.
Stop farting around with the Cossies, get the Austin 7 Motors running !!!!!😂
Great video 👍 The rover "Head bolts" are made out of the same material for earthquake building specs and made in Germany 😊
That was sneaky with the title Lee, very sneaky. 👏👏👏

Great to see you back on form Lee, sharp haircut too that lad 👌
That's some master bait you did there.
Re using a timing belt? WOW, did you reuse the head gaskets as well, ?
Subi engines are always off on the timing marks even from new that's why they have the belt marks. I have done hundreds of subie t belts and they are all that way

Nice video guys, you can never have enough Cosworth's
Your thumbnails are there to irritate the trolls lol. a little bit of a wind up merchant , you. lmao.
Cheers Lee. Catch you on the next one.
On the 205 cosworth block would it bee an option to put liners in to remove the wire rings, deck the block and reuse the original pistons?
You bin pumping the iron Lee?
The guns are looking good mate......

I dont think the inlet cam timing will be a problem as the vvti will adjust off the cam sensors and correct the errors
Why never any uploads of successful builds?
The mg engine is great if looked after
A Subaru wedding car. Does she know?
Maybe it the car they dated in 😉
Could be the last time he's allowed to drive it🫢
Great video and you really don't need any clickbait!!!! Think the beard makes you look quite a lot older 😂. Enjoy the boxing.
Do you not rate the wossner pistons Lee? Are they noisey or just not your choice?
Loving the content👍

go be a jornalist for your local chip wrapper you got my vote
Good vlog 👍👍
Scooby similar to my flat four & flat six bikes, piss easy to set up timing belts (2x belt per engine)... 😁😆😆
😂😂😂 That beard of yours Lee. . Must be attracting the bots😊
I never thought of that after skimming a head 🤔but yeah.
is that orange gasket glue / silicone on oil filter mating face?
It only ran for an hour, and he probably forgot to wind his watch that day.
Just kidding. The pistons do in fact look like brand new.
You mentioned a Triumph?

yeah I always thought re tensioning belts was a big NO no regardless of the material. unless that ones manufacturers says you can i guess
You don't need to do the click bait. Your video's are great without that. You'll increase your views by continuing with quality content.
Not like me to dramatise the thumbnail, im done boys 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Don't like all the silicone round the oil filter face on the block don't look good for things to come as you strip it down 😮
They are wills rings
😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
👍👍
Watch MotoIQ why Subaru engines blow up 😊😊😊😊😊

looks like its had no coolant in it
Ta!
You're a sad person having to resort to click bait .
Boxers 🤮
Yo, Chinese engines are better.
When the Chinese reworked the Rover K Series it did get better….
