TCDave-Nice presentation, You’re very personable-kept my interest. Very pleasant review! Like the SQUIER-can’t believe I said that! Think I’d like to get one. Thanks for the help! (Subscribed.)
I've just bought one in the white and I'm blown away with the incredible quality and sound, I've also had 2 Squires that were poor, this is such an improvement in every way, thanks for the review 🎸👍
I have a gold one too, awesome guitar. The paint is getting worn off fast on the bridge, but that's mostly due to my playing style. I go through strings fast too. The body is soft and dents easily but it adds character. I bought it with the hope of owning it for years and getting a worn out and used look. I think the gold is best for a relic look.
I have a gun metal one great guitar I've had american, Mexican, Japanese teles and a G&L asat this guitar is awesome very well built its a rock machine but I play country middle position is great. Only problem I have with it is the bridge is pointy ( could say sharp but not sharp just uncomfortable) saddles a little pointy too . Pots might not be great a little play but work very well & it's not shielded . Set up very good no need for any adjustments, neck straight as a arrow
I have the exact same guitar, and I love it to bits. It's very easy to play, it just feels right, and sounds amazing. Going from clean to crunch with the volume button always makes me smile. I don't feel the need to change a thing on it. Very different experience from my other guitar, which is an Affinity Strat that never felt quite right.
I absolutely adore mine and as a beginner its a solid steal for one. Pretty much good out of the box but i did adjust the low e saddle and pickup height for a more balanced tone. But the rail defs needs a bit more height on the high e side. I have one in gunmetal (in canada all colours are the same price) and it does have a few things that need work but for roughly 600$ CAD its a rock solid guitar that plays amazing out of the box. For a tele it is very light and it keeps its twang. It isnt your daddies tele but itll give any SS tele a run for its money. It keeps the twang but has lots of spankyness to it and when you dig in it responds really well even when you get agressive it still wants to keep up and with a klon style boost ohhh boy it just growls when you want it to. Amazing sustain, frets are comfortable, neck is smooth and classic fender C shape and boy those humbuckers sure kickass. I run it clean into a klon clone, tube screamer clone, and a delay and it sure loves it.
I might add this to current guitar, Epiphone ES-335 2020. This is a very simple looking guitar, easy to setup. I'll definitely set it up, I always do regardless of my expensive basses (I'm a bassist first). But that's it. Tuners and nut can be done later.
I love mine and I don't really play guitar so the price point was key for me that and the roasted neck. The Classic vibe 70s P bass i got a while back is very nice as well but again price point. I buy budget for any instrument I cant hit with a stick and lately Squire is knocking it out of the park.
Been checking out this guitar lately, i have to say i've never really been a tele guy, but something about this version draws me to it. The all over one colour scheme, blacked out controls and no pickguard gives it quite a modern look yet it doesn't look wrong on a tele shape body, which is surprising. Not a fan of the matching colour headstock, a straight timber finish would have been nicer imo but its no biggie. I like the new pickup configuration. From all reports this a heavy guitar, which could be an issue for anyone coming from an acoustic and wanting to try out electric for the first time. I'm talking 5.26 kg or 11.6 pounds! That's heavy! A standard fender telecaster weighs 7 to 8 pounds or 3 to 3.5 kgs, a huge difference. My Ibanez S521 Superstrat weighs a paltry 2.5 kg by comparison, tho it does have a superslim designed body and is meant to be lightweight. The Squier Tele still looks a great guitar, and I guess the weight is only an issue when your playing standing up, which most beginners don't do anyway. I'm used to a lightweight guitar so for me its just too heavy to lug around. I know 5 kilo's doesn't sound like much but have it strapped to your shoulder for an hour and then see what you think.
Lately, I've come across more and more comments in which people complain that for them, a guitar weighing 5 kilograms is very difficult. I assure you, it's not 5 kilograms that's hard, it's you, in poor physical shape. guitars, including 5 kilogram ones, and I play them for 2-3 hours in a row, standing. I don’t like to play sitting, and I feel great, although I’m not young anymore. I’m 50 years old.
Awesome guitar. It's sounds great. I have the a Pink Pearly colour contemporary Strat with a Floyd Rose. The necks on these are absolutely killer. I sold my new Jackson after comparing the feel with it as it was not even close. Something about it just feels right. I haven't even played a Fender with a neck as nice as the new contemporary series. Shoreline gold is such a nice colour. I have a John 5 Squier in the Shoreline gold so I'd probably go for the Gunmetal I'd say.
No distortion but the clean sounds are better way to understand the harmonic content from the pickup. It sounds exactly as I suspected the Poplar wood sounds bright and contemporary. Great video Dave.
It’s the “title text here” for me
I have had the white one since august, my first and only (!) guitar having been using my son’s Mustang to start to learn. I am in love with it.
Is the guitar still pearly white after all this time? Love the white but want to know if it yellows after time before I get one.
It has yellowed@@CarlSkerritt in a way I find attractive, but with a rapidity which may disappoint some people.
nice to see the nod to rory with the pic in place,,,what a fantastic player he was ,,i was 15 when calling card came out and he inspired me to play,,,

Been wanting this guitar for the longest and the white one looks so good
Looks like a great guitar, I'm hoping to get my hands on one sometime soon. Cool picture of Rory you have there! Rock on! Greetings from Hungary.
“Title text here” 😂
Cool vid and demo, thanks! Hoping to try one out in a few days.

Sounds pretty good. A bit tiny as you would expect. Very good review.

How heavy is the actual guitar?
Is it shreddy? Im looking for a “do it all”

Just bought the white one. Insane value! Great metal chugger.

I got black for 403 at USA GC. 15% initial discount 439 otherwise before tax etc
White one looks the best with the black accents in my opinion.

Dave. What is your equipment again? Sounds different clean than other TH-cam channels.
Anyone know if the pickups are alnico or ceramic ???
Mine need to adjust the intonation..

Figured you talk about the new slash #4 guitar 😅
Lmao on the gold dust line nice
