He’s trying to delete all of his mistakes... but so many cruel people keep re-posting it and he wasn’t in a great place back then, not many people realised that.. he was unhappy and just was having a bad life. It warms my heart that both of his parents own up to their mistakes. Most parents after divorces take years to make up, but when they do its beautiful. I grew up in a alternating back and forth between homes. I am so happy that I kept a great relationship with both of my parents. Also, if you’re parents are divorced or something else, don’t want to get a perfect family. You’re parents separated on purpose, not just for fun. Please remember that.

As I'm watching this series I just CAN'T associate this Shane with the one that's being lynched at the moment. Whether people want to admit it or not, this sheds a lot of light on the Shane of the PAST. Don't be so quick to judge unless you walk a mile in his shoes.

It seems Jeffree is having nothing to do with him, and the Internet is making the most vile, repulsive threats and insults. I feel so bad for him. This is why we have due process- you’re innocent until proven guilty... but in the court of public opinion there are no rules and it’s awful what’s happening to Shane. I worry for him.. I hope he and Ryland are ok and can recover from this devastation. By the way, I'm here because I never watched this series before because it scared me. I too had a volatile relationship with my dad and I was extremely scared of him. I avoided this series because I thought I would feel guilty for not having properly restored our relationship... but he passed away in April and I don't know... Maybe I'm looking for someone to connect to. It's been hard dealing with his death during quarantine since I'm alone.
And I'm also here because of the things coming out about you recently and I guess I want to learn more about your past. I know how it feels to be hurt by what's happened in childhood and it causes people to act out in ways that are not healthy. Our upbringings really affect us and I don't think people who had an "ideal" childhood can understand it since they turned out "fine" and would never do what you have done or things that I have done. I've done lots that I'm not proud of and I am so grateful that I don't have lasting proof of it. Those out there screaming about your past have likely done lots that they're not proud of as well, and they too have the ability to leave it in the past because there's no lasting proof. I hope that we all come out of the other side of this situation having better understanding about growth and can accept that people have the ability to change. We are not our past..

I watched this a long time ago but just watched it again (because I love and miss Shane) but it absolutely breaks my heart. The fact that his dad saw the videos that made him look bad but felt compassion for Shane's feelings and didn't react-- that's love. He cared more about Shane's life and career than his own. Life is hard and people make mistakes, it doesn't make them bad always. I love the healing that happens in this video.🥰
