I think what surprised them wasn't really the jump per se...but that he jumped @ that moment or that he was bold to do so then. Looking @ the bar height...it looked like it was the level that everyone starts on. at least that is what I think.
etrnlygr8tful All the other jumpers either leapt or dove over the bar. They were shook when they saw an actual like professional jump. That was almost an olympic style jump.
Tao follows the Olympic standard of high jump, I'm so proud of him. Even though he did not win the gold medal, he will always be my number one.
