I'm a mom who's never committed violence in my life but Tekashi's shit takes my road rage to another level if I hear it in the car. I want to chase the person who pissed me off, get out of my car, yank them out of their window and beat the F out of them. It's the kind of music that hypes young guys up to fight and glorifies gang life and violence. It makes men act like middle school boys who want to fight just because someone else got in a fight. Tekashi only has one sound, one inflection in his rap (loud yelling), one lane and one huge stan in AK.
Tekashi is doing his thing and considering he comes from abject poverty, I'm not against his success even though I think it'll be short lived. I do hope that he's saving, investing and diversifying his money and preparing for the future when his music career fizzles out. Unlike some others like Keri Hilson or Kandi Burruss, he's not going to be writing for others so still making bank that way.
