Dan's mother speech, when she talked with Jung Hyuk's mother about why they can't marry, because Dan loves a man, and that man loves her more than his own life. And because we only live once, they love each other more than their own live, how could she force her to marry someone else? Damn, I swear I just stopped breathing there. Yeah, my heart broke when Seung Joon died, but I was in denial. I hoped he would live. But forty minutes passed, and oh frigging surprise, he truly died. It had been some dramas since I watched Hotel del Luna, but just like you, I haven't fully recovered. But I don't know, even though Hotel del Luna was sad and also broke my heart, this felt devastating in a huge different level. Cause it didn't use to be sad during the same, unlike Hotel del Luna, wich made me cry every episode. Hotel del Luna's ending, yet sad, felt more... Suitable for the situation. This felt more like they wanted to have a sad ending because they didn't want to break their heads for something else. Now, excuse me, I'll go to cry on a corner.
After Goblin, this drama makes me cry a lot again. Seung -jun and Dan's love story is so heartbreaking. And the fact that both of them Seri and Captain Ri should adjust just to see the each other. And I badly want season 2 of this drama!!!!
And a top tier song if she decided to sing it without writing it! She's one of the select few korean artists with creative autonomy and for her to say yes at this stage on her career (when she had already earned the right to write her own songs) to this song is a testament to it's beauty.

I'm crying :'( tho it's a happy ending (well, at least, for most of the viewers), why am I sad? I don't know why. Maybe because of the withdrawal? or because of gu seung joon? maybe because of the fact that they just feel contented to be with each other for 2 weeks in the whole year. Or because of seo dan's tragic love story? The lives of north korean people? Not just in the series but in real life. This series really hurt me, same hurt I felt when I watched scarlet heart, queen for seven days, and other tragic dramas.
I knew theyd meet in Switzerland as soon as it was stated that Jonghyuk could go there. Everything ended perfectly except seo Dan's story. Seo dan deserved a better end 😭❤
I totally agree with you, for me the show ended perfectly well. The supporting actor's death, he deserve it because he was a fugitive on the run, which means he pays for his bad actions. I love him do not get me wrong but bad always comes to bad people.
I think it's kind of smart they made a sad ending for them. If the drama as only ever filled with happy endings, then you wouldn't cling onto it as much as sadness is a powerful emotion.
i think seo dan and gu sueng jun ending served well, for it teaches us how limitless love can be, how seo dan cope up and stand as a strong and independent woman..i really love her character... another second lead syndrome i've been experiencing after myung joo and dae young story in descendants ☺️☺️☺️
Acually, before I always see people post about CLOY on facebook. They say it was really good but i wasnt convinced then. I thought it will be a boring plot since it will mostly center in military. Then I read an article about IU will be singing an OST for CLOY so I gave it a shot and watched ep 1. But after ep 1, I got addicted to it! I forgot how I wanted to hear IUs OST for awhile. I got curious of north korea and I loved the chemistry of both leads and the actors and actresses are perfect fit to the characters. My heart throbbed for each episode. I laughed, felt inlove, felt scared and felt hatred all through this drama. The drama will be one of the best kdrama for me in 2020.
I had the same thought too. I thouggt that this drama is lame and overrated but I was wrong. That's why I don't trust my first impressions anymore because I might missed an amazing experience such as this drama. I'm glad I didn't listen to myself.

IMHO this is the best k drama I've ever watched..this drama made me looks like a CRAZY person..I laughed then I cried then I laughed again then I hate the brother and the soldier..the sad scenes are balanced by LOVE,FAMILY AND FRIENDSHIP.. cry onions when listen to this which led me back ep 15 which hard to resist their time apart. This songs shows alot affection how they wanted to be together but borders were crossing them and wishing them happy wherever they were, but still glad they could at least met and live together eventho it wasnt the perfect ending at all. Yes, I really agree with that but when I watched the whole drama sometimes the story need to be more dramatically that's made this drama beautifull and we need to accept that not all drama/film always happy ending.. that is the beauty of art ^^

IMHO this is the best k drama I've ever watched..this drama made me looks like a CRAZY person..I laughed then I cried then I laughed again then I hate the brother and the soldier..the sad scenes are balanced by LOVE,FAMILY AND FRIENDSHIP.. Mostly I cried because how they cannot reach each other because of the country conflict and YOON SE RI relationship with her mother and SEO DAN and his lover too..OVERALL I love this drama and the best drama for me..PERIOD
I hope you watch Hotel de Luna too... Its also a great kseries.
cry onions when listen to this which led me back ep 15 which hard to resist their time apart. This songs shows alot affection how they wanted to be together but borders were crossing them and wishing them happy wherever they were, but still glad they could at least met and live together eventho it wasnt the perfect ending at all. All these mix emotions thruout drama was beyond beautiful made, i just cant move on at all 😭😭😭💔

I heard this song in the drama and I KNEW it was IU. For a slight second in the beginning (and because the dialogue) I thought it could have been Punch but by the end of the song I knew it was IU. There is something she does when she sings that I don't hear with other Korean singers.
