HELLO JAMES & RHONDA..... I BEEN FOLLOW YOU FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW...... YOU MAKE A WONDERFUL VIDEOS OF YOUR ADVENTURES..... THANK YOU SO MUCH.... I HOPE ONE DAY IWE WILL MEET ON THE SEA..... ( AS I SEEK FOR A BOAT NOW ) I LIVE IN MACAU SAR... RPCHINA , NEAR HONGKONG.... I WISH TO BOTH OF YOU ALL THE BEST.... FAIR WINDS & MY KIND REGARDS.... ✌🏻🥂🍾🌷🎷
good way to think about it. If you spend all your time at anchor/dock thinking about what could go wrong on a trip.. you will never go. I am struggling with that now.
Missed the live. My friend is actually sailing in SE Asia at the moment. He is with his wife and 2 young children on board. I think one of the challenges as you sail into Indonesian Waters is the fishing fleets. Often they have nets out without markers so you may have a bit of entanglement. My friend had to don his scuba gear to cut some nets off. Many in SE Asia speak English, and they are very nice gentle people as well.
Fair winds and follow seas to you James & Rhonda. Did you make a video about your gasoil filter polishing system, you just mentioned? How does it work? Thanks
It simply pumps fuel from one Jerry can to another passing it through a fuel filter and water separator- google search “DIY fuel polishing system “ and you will see a few different ways to do it
You've talked about sharks before but I have to give you both alot of credit for openly swimming (snorkeling) the way you do there on Australia shores the way do. That place is known for there white sharks. Have you seen any sharks at all since you've been there? And James, how come you don't do any ads not that I mind not seeing them. But you got a good fan base I know it's a pretty good source of income for some of the sailers. Thank You for all your informative videos particularly the windvane video and the piracy video. So glad you guys are doing it Please be safe. Thank You
Los Angeles has tons of white sharks as well, and yes I saw several in both Australia and Los Angeles. Crocodiles and Irukandji jellyfish are far more of a concern than white sharks
@@SailorJames Right on, that's right you guys got those saltys to worry about. That was a really cool shot you guys have of the jellyfish. Thanks so much for writing back
Ah, I had to be out all day and missed this! I'm stunned to hear it's been 7 months - seems just like yesterday that Rhonda flew in, and you both started your sail up the coast. Been great to see your videos of where you anchored and explored - been great knowing you are here. Glad you got to see some wildlife and hear some of our noisy birds. Look forward to seeing the rest of the Aussie travels too. Here's to a wonderful sail to Thursday Island and on to Asia. If you do call into An Bang, and can travel to Hoi An in Vietnam, try to drop into the Red Lantern Cocktail Bar and have a Tasmanian Devil cocktail, named in honour of my good friend Brad Cooper (an ex-Digger from Tasmania) who founded the bar, and recently passed away. They have some great music there weekly. Brad would love to have met you. Wishing you both the best of health, love and happiness. And thank you. Happy Sails!!
I missed the live as well. Catching up on the broadcast. All sailors talk about "scope" when anchoring. What is "scope?" I hear, "I put out four scope and that works for me." I never have heard what the term scope means. Thanks and fair winds until next time.
@sailing triteia y’all are an inspiration to me 💯 I’ll be doing the same thing but I’m in your position back in ‘17! I’ll be definitely doing this in the next few years…. I’m. Going. To. Do. It! Wife said if we split then I can do that…. So that’s what I’m gonna do 🤷🏻♂️ Never let anybody keep you from perusing your dreams! Not even baby mama! She’s cheated multiple times while I was deployed in the army and while I was at work on an ambulance…. Not staying for a back stabber! Ultimatum given to me by a repetitive cheater…?! No thanks! I’m out!
Shh, keep the secret; don't go to the Solomons - the coral is the colour of the rainbow, changing with the depth, and the water is clear at great depths.
Thanks!
Thank you 🙏🏻

Saw you walking up the street in Cairns a week ago or so. Fair voyage.
We haven’t been in Cairns since mid August but did spend a few weeks there

Scope is the ratio of chain to depth. 25ft of water requires 125ft of chain (5 scope)
@@SailorJames Thanks for the info. Fair winds until later my friend.
my provisions question was answered , But how do you store butter without a Fridge ?
We have a fridge but we also have canned butter and ghee

J'ai raté ça. Faut penser au décalage horaire mon cher James ! Je suis en Bretagne !!
I do think about the time difference but it’s impossible to accommodate every timezone and 50% of my viewers are in America
@@SailorJames understand. C'était juste une remarque et non une critique. Courage pour ce voyage vers la Thaïlande qui s'annonce idyllique ! !

You pay for everything with TH-cam ?!? No way.
TH-cam has more than covered all my expenses since 2021
