This was a cute, slow burn romance. 🥰 The ML was immediately into the FL (and had been for years), but it took awhile for the FL to get there. Luckily for her, he was patient, not to mention utterly besotted with her and wanting to give her the best of everything! It was so cute how he immediately, happily changed his life to revolve around her! And he’d brag to anyone who would listen about his wife being in charge. 🤭 My very favorite was when he flatly refused his friend’s advice to make her jealous to make her recognize her feelings. He said he loved her, so he didn’t want to hurt her!!! 🎉 I have been waiting for this moment in all of my drama watching! This is how I feel, and it was so nice to finally see it happen in a show! And I liked how many supportive people they had around them. His family and friends, her coworkers, friends and grandma, and others. The one that impressed me the most was the scumbag’s friend with the earrings. Dude was not only a super decent guy, giving him good advice (that he never listened to 🙄), plus at the end he called him out for being a scumbag (literally) and told him that they were no longer friends! Which really raised him even higher in my opinion! (Btw- That actor had some charisma! I haven’t seen him before, but I wouldn’t be surprised to start seeing a lot more of him! 😉) It was also nice that there wasn’t a ton of angsty drama distracting from the relationship. Everything that happened was definitely in the background and meant to enhance their story, which was super nice to see! 😜
The acting may not be the best but it’s pretty good. And the story is so sweet and nice. It’s two people falling in love. Well, to be more specific it’s a man I love trying to get the woman he loves to love him back. The angst is very low. All problems get cleared up really quickly. And there in one very huge huge plus in this. This is the FIRST and Only cdrama that I’ve ever seen where the woman’s boozes are very protective and keep her safe. She does have an issue but it wasn’t caused by the bosses. I’m so happy about that I don’t even have words. There were several instances of women helping other women. Only two toxic women who never got what they wanted. That was so refreshing! A good way to start a new year. A big positive that is moving in the right direction. If for no other reason this drama deserves a like and a thank you.
I’ve seen over a dozen of this storyline and it’s one I never tire of. It’s a lovely story about a boy who loved a girl for a long time and finally gets the girl. It’s also a cautionary tale about being committed and cherishing the person you’re with. There’s plenty to criticise about the ex of course but the thing that comes across with each one is that he was ashamed of her. He liked having her around at his beck and call but he put little or no effort into the relationship. He had no consideration for her feelings at all. It was all one-sided. There's another remake with Wang Jiamo and you can find it under the title "I want to marry you, do you want to play with me?" That's my second favourite version.
I have seen this storyline over 6 times and I like them all, Nothing beats a good love after flash marriage plot with only a few toxic characters who are delt with right away, and no extended bullying scenes because the writers are lazy. A little drama here and there which is cleared up quickly and no protracted misunderstandings due to cowardly miscommunication.
Why is it that no one in these dramas ever says the word, "Lie?" As in, "That's a lie." or "You are lying." They go around and around a subject and never get to the point. The female lead is slandered to her face, but just stand there and suffers in silence, which nauseates me. When the woman finally gets fed up and vents her anger, no one listens, because she's always just let them abuse her. Everyone feels sorry for her, but it's her low self esteem that's the real problem. It makes her a victim and narcissists love women like this.

В тоже время показывают какая гл героиня несчастна в своей семье....Насколько я поняла, первый никогда не интересовался за два или три года из какой она семьи...и практически ничего о ней не знает, кроме того что она влюблена в него...Второй более зрелый, знает о ней многое и видит что происходит в ее семье...Но я думаю все же ему нужно было бы с ней поговорить на чистоту, рассказать всю правду...
