    i have this kit,Zero information on rigging her and the kit "cannons" are flat. Those after market parts really make for a fine model

      Thank you. the extra expense for the parts was worth it.

    Absolutely beautiful!!!! Very impressive work! You sure know your stuff! I've always wanted to build a sailing ship, preferably a plastic one. Don't think I could have the patience and stamina though! Planes and tanks drive me crazy enough!

      Plastic is good too, I am currently working on a 1/96 scale USS Constitution I will be putting a video of that up as well. I have done a tank recently and have another on the way.
      Thank you for watching.

    Hi, Been a big fan since the original channel. Im building this model and cant thank you enough for the measurements for the main masts. would you happen to have/know the lengths of the horizontal mast parts?

    • @lazydayhobbies1540
      @lazydayhobbies1540  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much... I didnt actually use any real measurements. I cut them in such a way as they didnt hit the vertical masts. I wanted the horizontal mast (spars) to almost touch the Masts themselves but wanted clearance as well. So your measurements might be different from mine.

    Howdy, where can I find more info on this model ship. Got one for christmas but only came with one page of instructions, and in Japanese ~ no english. Nothing about rigging. Where did you get the canons and extra's. Thanks

      I feel your pain. this kit is a challenge in that it is a cheap kit made over seas. While my kit came with 2 pages of instructions, there is nothing in them about rigging. The second page is a layout of the sails. I did a lot of research on these smaller ships and found rigging ideas that I liked but for the most part it was guess work. When I ordered this kit I also ordered some extra parts like canons, canon balls, anchors, deadeyes and chain among other things from Aliexpress. Im sure you can get them else where but that is where I got mine. Good luck with yours. It really is a fun kit and worth the time and effort but you will find it to be challenging not just because the instructions are so bad but also because it will be missing parts. You will have to make your own parts so make sure you save any wood scraps.
