I’m not a music/voice teacher, but from all the voice coaches I watched in youtube, the only reason she changed her singing style early in the 90’s, is because she’s preserving her vchords, she sounds great to me but I think the “style” is not that easy to maintain in the long run. This is a gem though!

She was pretty pitchy here in several spots. Maybe a bad voice day. Either way this is an incredibly hard song to sing. That jump from “Won’t” to “Be Long” is one semitone from being a FULL OCTAVE. EDIT: Actually to correct myself, there is a much bigger key jump in the song. When she says “Cause in my heart I, KNOW!” She actually jumps from a G# to a C an octave higher + 4 semitones. But because of the difference of vowel shaping, “I - Know” is much easier to sing than “Be - Long” is. It’s the same note she’s always jumping to, but this time from a much lower place, vocally. Simply put, that is SIXTEEN notes from one syllable to the next.

She's a dramatic soprano, her voice is metallic and can even be jarring at times.
