Steigers are a sharp looking piece of equipment, surely. I wouldn't know if they're any good because I haven't operated anything bigger than a utility tractor, though.
It's great getting to see these wheeled Steiger's lately. I hope that farmer's head is OK. I'm a bit surprised to hear that the wheeled version weighs as much as, or more than , the quad track either factory stock or field weighted. Used to always be the other way around.
Field weighted, maybe. The university of Nebraska says otherwise on unballasted. The quads absolutely weigh more. I will happily provide Never test data to anyone who disagrees
The big old water heater or moonshine still on the side of the engine compartment is very distracting. It's unbelievable what the government has done to cost farmers more money that ends up costing us consumers more money and we won't even talk about the DEF. The last dozer I ran was a 750 LGP JD and luckily it had a different cleaning system in place of the DEF garbage. I forgot the exact terminology of that system. Another great video from BTP
Where I work they got 3 620 quads 2 9620R's quads are on salfords 2 50' 1 60' 1 9620R on 48' field cultivator the other 9620R on 48 row 22" planter with 2 370R's on 2 36 row planters 22" row
That tractor doesn't even know the VT is back there. In Ga we pull a 37 foot with 400 h.p. MFWD. But if that's the only tractor you have available then you use what ya have 👍
I can't get my head around the prices asked for these machines,when you look at how efficient the factories are ie cnc machines and the wages for the workers has been more or less stagnant for around 20 years.
CNH the parent company of Case IH on 1/23/23 awarded UAW workers at striking CNH Industrial factories pay raises of 38%. Wages are not stagnant in farm equipment manufacturing. In addition to wages the environmental factors on emissions over the past 20 years has more than double the cost of tractors.
I am always confused by how these tractors(every color)are weighted it’s such a huge waste of horsepower to have sssooo much weight hanging over the front on a 4wd the front probably weights 40k lbs and the rear 18k lbs = front is doing 69% of the pulling and the rear doing next to nothing at 31%. When they should come 50/50 split they pull more with Less hp, better tire life, more even strain on the drivetrain , & better ride. Cool video keep it up 👍🏻
Yes me too and the example that stands out the most is the kirovets k700. But when they start to pull they transfer the weight via the weight that it's pulling to the back thus evening out the weight. Me thinks.
That’s been the theory and I get that concept but it just doesn’t add up in real life. You see So many 4wd tractors and what’s wore as far as tires? Front inside tires. Why?they are doing all the work and are hogging the weight just frustrating to me.

If you had ever ran a tractor 16-18 hrs a day you wouldn’t say autosteer was unnecessary. Take it from someone who has and it takes a lot of stress off the driver. My brothers widow still runs his farm and they run an CaseIH STX 440 and an STX 450 quad trac. Love those tractors.
@@mrapache10 People have been running tractors without Autosteer for a very long time. Consumers of tractors weren't protesting out in the streets for auto steer.Nobody is asking for this crap.
We have auto steer and all of our tractors both combines and our sprayer and I would hate to go back to running without it you can spend more time looking at your implements and seeing what’s going on around you great technology

Very impressive line up. Those tractors will cover the acres in a hurry.

Extra power never hurts. I use a 160 HP tractor do the work a 100 HP tractor could do and I save fuel and the tractor runs a lot cooler

In my observation dual tires tend power hop like this in Western Kentucky soil. Triple tires in this area smooth out the pull.
Does case not have a system like the John Deere wheeled version were it’s stops the power hop ?

Auto steer? Too much unneeded tech crap that only the dealer can fix and can only fix sometimes.
