Back in the 1970`s when Broad Street was Packed in South Philadelphia watching the String Bands . And the Bands wore Back pieces and Color full Plumes. I miss those days. The Parade is not the same any more. Sad to say
What a look back at just under 40 years ago (I'm posting this a couple days before January 1, 2011) - and these guys were looking even further back! I'm surprised they weren't looking ahead to the opening of brand-new Veterans Stadium the following spring - and the surprise they would get with that new kid that the Phillies added to their broadcast team, Harry Kalas.
