I am 68 years old, my sister as 73. We were brought up taught only about the wrath of God and fear of God. It was hard for me to understand and accept that God is also a loving God. Through much prayer, teaching, and listening to Christian music, we have discovered the love of God the Father, God the Spirit, and God the Son. Jesus loves us. You write that all you need to do is to ask Jesus in your life. If this means you have repented and got baptised, you are right. Then you have received His Holy Spirit and you have become a new creation (spiritually) Then you are born again and no longer under His condemnation. So happy for you that you found His love! Another year of life filled with hard edges. As hard as it is, my faith in God's unending love does not waiver. God loves us as much as he loves his Son Jesus. With a heart of gratitude.
