Great playlist. I love it! To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind may clarity replace confusion. may peace and calmness fill your life
My brother drove for 35yrs. He saw a young trucker RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM, Slam on his breaks with a full load of iron beams on his trailer. The load shifted and one of the I beams went through the back window and pushed the boy out the front. He immediately went around the young boys truck and blocked the other two lanes of traffic. He couldn't help the driver, He secured the truck, stayed with the driver, and kept the road closed for the Police but this song reminded him of that young man. Life's unpredictable, but there are lessons to be learned from everything that happens, and it happens for a reason..
I am nobody but let me tell you a brief story. It was the summer of 1986. I was working security at Hershey Lake Compounce in Bristol Ct. Randy Travis played that summer and I was posted back at the rear entrance to the stage. I was able to get his Autograph, [unsolicIted] for just doing a good job. My boss took it and said i was using my job for getting such things. Randy's band Manager saw what happened and approached me and asked when I was off the clock. I said in 5 minutes. He said they were going back to the Hotel and if i would come over he would re introduce me to Randy and get me another Autograph. I drove home as fast as I could changed and grabbed my guitar hoping he'd Autograph it for me. I got more then that, I spent about 2 to 3 hours in his room Jamming with Randy plus a photo of him and me, and an Autographed guitar. though the items i treasured and lost do to theft, I still have and never will lose the fond memories.. I WAS INDEED VERY HONORED.
@@rickyhammond3437 Treasured memories. I got to meet Randy once, briefly. It was at a Books a Million in Florida, he came over with over 200 signed books. Yes, no two signatures were the same, me and my dad checked with ours. Well, me and my dad got to sit with Randy, and I even got to shake Randy's hand. I even got to talk to his wife (also brief). I had no idea I would do that, but it was a pleasant surprise to say the least. It's the wallpaper to my phone right now. God bless.
My momma and my father were killed by a man high and already hijacked a woman by gunpoint. He was never charged. There is a cross in the very spot they went to be with our heavenly father
In ky addicts are treated like kings and queens.. my memory of this song are so much different. We all have addictions. Food church sex drugs... ive talked to angels since i was a child. In ky the woman go into rehab loving jesus and their roomate is now their husband. When this song came out it was a simple song .. now we have so much extra
He waits for each of us to find HIM in the right time.. He will make situations that you learn or miss the calling and He will welcome you when you do finally seek His face.
Randy Travis voice box should be in the Smithsonian coz it's a National Treasure. And Josh Turner gets the My Buddy Award for just being a Solid Human Being.
No one else could team up and sing together and make me feel as happy as I do listening to Josh Turner and Randy Travis sing the best song ever written.
I don't mean to shatter anyone's image of their idol, but my uncle was working at Choctaw in OK and Mr. Travis was supposed to perform that night. My uncle was told by his boss to help the Roadies set up the stage and unpack. When him and his buddy were following orders, Mr. Travis came out of his trailer, cussing my uncle and his coworker out, saying that he had his "own guys for that". I guess all that glitters isn't gold. But I do love this song with a passion and hope that a rock ballad cover comes out soon.
This song always brings me to tears. Randy Travis and Josh Turner are SO great together. I simply love them together. I pity who doesn't like this song
I read just today that Randy Travis is starting to now speak words, not sentences yet, and is able to walk around his house on his own. May he have good health, continued strength and achieve his goals.
After yelling out his name, Randy gave me a little nod and smile at the Strawberry Festival back in the day while he was singing. Maybe nothing that big, but I still smile at that memory when one of his songs comes on the radio.
The Blessings of God within me blesses the Blessings of God within Randy I pray to the Jeaus and God within me and all of us that Randy sees himself getting better through the God within him.
Here in Tucson, it is (sadly) common to see crosses at street intersections and along the highway. It is a local custom of our Latino community to mark the place where their loved one died. Every time I see one I am reminded of this song.
I've been a big fan of Randy Travis ever since I was a child. I grew up listening to his music. May he keep on improving. One day at a time, Randy. One day at a time. Keep your faith in God. He will guide you through this. We love you!!
Randy was the best and he gave us the best.... We never know where our lives will lead, or leave us with in the end, but all that really matters is that somewhere along the way... our love and goodness showed thru. Thanks for the video.
Josh Turner your r time right now. To sing with me randy travis your so lucky and you deserve it. Great bond you both have. Both of you are just perfection.
This is my favorite by Randy Travis. He is a pretty close to a traditional Country singer and that is the only kind of music I will listen to. He has a lot of talent and he did great song with this one.

So a farmer, preacher, hooker and teacher go to Mexico for various reasons. They get in a wreck, and three people die (The three crosses). The preacher gives his Bible to the hooker, and she eventually gets saved, and leads her son to Christ. Her son becomes the pastor of a church. Why didn't everyone die? or why are there only 3 crosses? Because God had a job for the hooker, and she just didn't know it yet. If the preacher didn't die, the hooker never would have gotten the Bible, and her son would never become a pastor. God's got a plan for you And for those who are asking "what happened to the driver.... It's mathematically off", nobody knows. All we have is interpretation for ourselves. I think he lived. Just because he was a driver doesn't mean he died. It's possible, and it's happened where the driver in a wreck made it out alive. And plus, there are only three crosses anyway.
