Well, their new guitarist has a scorpions patch and is probably a lost son of Uli Jon Roth who came to Sweden for holidays and eventually joined Enforcer. No wonder why there are so many "rockish" songs in Zenith.
This is an awesome rock anthem. I'm glad Enforcer is making things a bit different than their normal stuff while still maintaining their sound. This is how bands become truly great, by learning how to make whatever they play have their signature sound. That gives them more creative freedom while not letting fans down. Even Metallica couldn't do that.
Every good band that has more than three albums get criticized when they change it up... 10 years from now the complainers will be saying how under rated this album was

Hair metal lol. Yeah this sounds just like Poison, Pretty Boy Floyd, Warrant, D'Molls, late era London, Cats N Boots, Trixter..... NOT! Wtf are people comparing this to hair metal for? For God's sake the riff is very similar to half a dozen classic metal riffs from European metal bands and vocally he's not far off from Witch Cross territory.

Enforcer's new song is OK. Not a masterpiece, but a quite decent tune. It reminds me a little the first Crashdïet record ("Rest in sleaze"). It's still better than anything bands like Battle Beast, Amaranthe did. In all fairness, I didn't really expect Enforcer to try this kind of stuff (I thought they would try to do some progressive metal stuff). Well, at least, Enforcer didn't try to follow the road of nü-metal, emo, metalcore or dubstep.
The logical step would be indeed to keep on the tight guitar fast paced work but move on to more intricate paths, kinda following (in a way) the road that Fates Warning paved first, deconstructing the classic heavy to something different and more technical/strange/classic-prog-ish. Still I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but I guess now that 80s metal nostalgia is full on and that Olaf is slowly turning this into his personal thing they will go down this hair metal thingamajigg...
Reminds me of 80s era Scorpions. I’m getting this one in vinyl. Good stuff.
