No, they are actually based on Cold War arquetipes. Yor and her brother Yuri seem to be japanese who lived their childhoods also in an equivalent version of the 3er Reich. Now you might think that it sounds absurd, because if Loid is based on a male German and Yor as a female Japanese, leaving in some sort of Cold War Germanies (being Westalis as Western Germany and Ostania as Eastern Germany), then how both Yor and Yuri could have live their childhood not only in a European country, but in an apparent fascist country for the "aryan" race back then, even despite the alliance with the apparent country equivalent to Japan in Spy x Family universe? Well believe it or not, despite the strict racial laws in both Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, in 1935 Hitler actually allowed over 3 million Japanese workers to move to German soil, to work and live there, a few years before the start of WW2 and the Sino-Japanese war. Because Germany was already turned into a powerful country with a lot of job opportunities, not only for the German citizens, but also for foreign workers. And the best foreign country the German regime, was none other than Japan, sharing similar ideologies about racial supremacies. So with that said, Yor and Yuri are very likely equivalent to German-Japanese children with Japanese parents who moved on from their native country to work with another who had a lot of opportunities for them.
It's sad that this video is barely over 2 minutes long and it's shows that the premise of this story is just bait. I read the Manga and in over 100 chapters there is no romantic development whatsoever between the couple, which is disappointing
