I went to a Sangstream workshop where Claire taught us this song - I absolutely love it. Does anyone know who they are talking about when they refer to Davy in the song? Is it Davy Steele? Would be interested to know.

Hi Kim, unfortunately I don't have sheet music for the song and am not aware of any available for purchase. The song was written by Lionel McClelland, who sadly passed away several years ago.
I guess I'll have to do it the hard way! This old New Englander thinks your music is wonderful and I will follow your performances enthusiastically.

We are discussing - how did you get permission to record the song? Lionel never got to record it himself before he died. Is it Jane that owns the rights? _ You do it so great, so we love it!!
Hi Annette. I'm glad you like my version! I spoke with his family and all royalties will (presumably) go to them when it is played, as the song is registered in Lionel's name on PRS.
