    Great video,
    Been back and forth on buying the standard vs the pro because of the temp probe, I've heard, with the exception of getting all the accessories, your actually better off with the standard, and spending the extra $100 on a better probe, and accessories as you have. Is the idea behind your own probe being better because it doesn't shut the cooker down when the temp is reached, and maybe getting a inaccurate temp reading, and having to restart the cooker.

      Hi Joy! Thank you so much for watching. I couldn't agree more. The NFG is Awesome! I think its so much easier to cook with the NFG than a traditional grill too, and the cleanup is so convenient. I have not done pork chops, but I want to try that this weekend. • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I use the foil to avoid the top of the cake from burning. I have tried to bake the cake without the foil, and the cake ends up burnt on top, so I found this way to be the easiest. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

    It's a grill. I cook steaks on it. What kind of accessories do I need? The thing smokes so bad I had to set it outside and I had to buy a table for it but besides that that's all I have purchased because I had a meat thermometer already. It cooks steaks really great but it's not an indoor grill and it's not smokeless and it's not for apartments or dorms. If you have a home with a vent that vents outside this might be good for indoor use.

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Jim, I am so sorry you are experiencing this. Your grill should not be smoking. I would definitely contact Ninja. If you are not using olive oil, and using the appropriate temperatures for the desired meat type, I would say your grill is defective. I have used my grill practically daily for steaks, chicken, baking, and more, and not once has my grill smoked. I have heard of ninja sending out replacement grills for them smoking, so I would recommend calling. As for more accessories for steaks, I would say you are good with your thermometer, and if you really want to change things up, you can use the skewers to make steak kabobs :) Thanks for watching :)

      Mine was smoking for a bit, but after I gave it a deep cleaning, especially the splatter guard it doesn't anymore. You may have a different issue.

    We don't cook with aluminum foil, is there something else we could use to do the cake?

  • @7heRedBaron

    So the Ninja Foodi Grill does heat from the bottom as well as the top, or the cake wouldn’t be burning on the bottom. Some are spreading around that it only heats from the top. I like to proof my cakes in the microwave for five minutes before baking. Can’t use a metal pan obviously. But it rises more evenly instead of drawing towards the center, and it’s moister without drying out any during baking. I then bake it at high temperature for just a few minutes in my Ninja Foodi to firm up a slight crust on the top and around the pan. Otherwise, it’s so soft inside the whole thing just falls apart when you unpan it.

    • @joshkilcoyne6167
      @joshkilcoyne6167 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you're a bit confused. The only hearing element is at the top of the machine. There is only one heating element. There is no heating element on the bottom. The heat is circulated all around, yes. But no, there is no heating element on the bottom of the machine

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alia, Yes, ofcourse. I have seen many users flip the ceramic grill to cook, but I am not sure if it will fit with a pan on top. You can always try. As long as it fits, I do not see why not :) I would just monitor closely :)

    Will olive oil make it smoke? Thanks

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the temperature you are setting. Olive oil has a low smoking point of 350*. Anything higher than 325* will most likely result in the grill smoking because of the oil. I always recommend grapeseed oil or avocado oil as they have a higher smoking point
