The AI seems very useful for explaining code, great for beginners. I have tested it on some of my own code (that I know what it does already) and it was pretty much spot on.

I actually think AI for Roblox studio is an amazing idea. It being able to explain what certain bits of code does can really help beginners get into coding. My only problem is if beginners rely on it too much, like creating Roblox games purely off AI and profiting on it. (Note that I have not watched the video yet)

    • @Pyrolite

I could see how AI could be used to produce more simple games but in terms of more "complex" projects, you'd definitely need a bit more knowledge on how the Roblox engine works. Also maintenance is an issue as well especially since Roblox deprecates built in functions from time to time, debugging code without knowledge of how it works let alone code that's not written by you is going to be difficult without knowing programming

I'm learning Lua in Roblox Studio, with the programming fundamentals found in the Roblox API, at times when I don't understand how some function or logic works, I ask the AI to explain it to me and teach me how to use it, I also ask it to show other ways to use it that same function, and then I create a field of ideas of how I could use that specific function

This is really cool. You wont be able to get a job in any progamming position without the knowledge on how to use AI effectively, so good on roblox teaching young game devs on how to use tools like it.

How to continue selecting text in a field beyond what is on-screen that does not autoscroll
    Ctrl + A
or Click at the beginning, scroll down, hold shift, click at the very end
or Click at the beginning, hold shift, (optional: hold control), right arrow/down arrow, all the way to the end
    End with Ctrl + C

I hope no one kills me, but I may use this ai tool to make code, and to learn off of that as im better at learning off of a lot of examples than documentation personally whenever I code anything, plus doing it with AI would make it much faster

It’s definitely a great tool which can be used to solve errors imo. I still think it’s more of a hassle to use for the more intermediate developers right now, but it has its uses for sure

I don't know anything about scripting but I think you forgot to rename "part" to "part1" so the script didn't acoount for the other sphere and that's why it wasn't working or something?

    I tried the following:
Can you please make a script that randomly picks 'something' from a set every 5 minutes under the current bind: every cycle picks each option in the set once in a row and also twice in a row.
And it seemed to... trick itself into thinking it did what I wanted.

SENIOR DEV NOTE: AI code gen is best for simple API interactions or test generation. Don't get attached to it for unique, special logic or core functionality. It does not do that well. (When it _does_, you will not be the one making mods anymore. You will be replaced. Enjoy the time you have.)
