I’ve been using the tamron 20mm 2.8 for my Sony and it’s been great for only $300! It does make a little bit of noise when it’s hunting for focus which you can edit out in post fairly easy usually but overall it’s awesome! I was going to get the 17-28 tamron but for the extra money I thought I would get the 20mm and use the rest for going towards a drone which has been great!

Nice one, I got the 28-75 G2 which is WAY better than the first version. Just got the 17-28 for the A7IV and the 60p cropped video. Makes it a 25.5mm - 45mm more or less which is just perfect it for me for video. Plus now I have a wide angle for photos.
what i did the last couple of shootings i did use the crop modus on the a7III, i didn't test it with the 17-28 because i don't own it yet. but Around 21 mm should be the perfect 35mm ff

Do you notice shake with the weebill s though? Or is the shake mostly coming from the camera being handheld? I would also think you can correct some of that in post. Your videos are awesome man. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for demo, Lens quality looks great but is really shaky, did you have IBIS turned off? looks too shakey for vlogging, maybe 16-35 oss f4 may be the other option.

My best budget lens for vlogging on the Sony a7iii is the Samyang FE 18mm f 2.8. Great autofocus and really sharp for photography. Great for astro shots as well. Best of all it is cheap, lightweight and very compact for hiking. The 35mm version is also excellent and you can have a cheap and compact prime setup that doesnt break the bank.

Well the Tamron would be more versatile for on the go shooting. Since the 20mm is a prime lens it should be the sharper choice and also the autofocus might also be better on the 20 since it’s a native Sony lens. Hope that helped
