That's a great looking model. Nice to see the model brought together with some paint. It establishes it as a single entity a lot more. Although I do like to see it in it's parts form too.
He looks great, really like the beard work and the targeter is an idea I'm definitely stealing for the future. I actually made my own heavy bolter Orlock using the SM scout kit too but I trimmed it down to fit the Orlock heavy weapon arms instead, then trimmed down the bipod to represent suspensors. It's always fun to see how different people approach the same modelling challenges. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!
Thanks.. Yeah, I love seeing similar things that just end up so different. I was gonna use the arms that you did but I had non spare. So now the story is he's just REALLY strong haha.
Great conversion mate! I was actually digging through my bits box for the start of my Orlock Grenadier, and found that exact SM scout heavy bolter which I put aside to do a similar conversion. Yours looks great, I'll be doing what I can without the greenstuff, as I'm badly out of practice! BTW, my grenade launcher will be made from a SM bolter shaved to hide its heritage, plasticard or brass tube for the GL barrel, and I found an old MegaBlox recoilless rifle which has a suitably large drum magazine. Hoping it comes together :)
Ha ha i did the same thing with the scout marine heavy bolter for my gang, ends up looking really good with the beefier right arm but i used bionic left arm you get for the stubber / harpoon
He gotta have mad leg muscles for him to be holding the bolter straight on one leg.
Hell yeah.. Or robot legs! 😅
Love it! The bi-pod is a great touch for resting that heavy bolter on a crate or barrel before unloading it! Awesome!
He might be buff as hell but I'm pretty sure he would need to set it down every now and then. 😅
And thanks Joel!

Yeah I prefer to paint them when I have time.. But I'll always ateast prime them from now on!
"but i have yet to see someone that can outsmart bolter." jokes aside i love the conversion.
Haha.. Thank you!

Thanks.. Hopefully I can keep painting most of these
Nice kitbash. The targetter makes it like he is carrying a sort of Smartgun from Aliens.
Thanks man.. Well, how else is he gonna find all those genestealers! 😅
Awesome kitbash. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Shaun 🤘🤘

That's it, you're breaking TH-cam!
Just call me Abaddon, because I'm tearing this place up! 😎

Yeah I would have done the same but I was out of those arms unfortunately 😬

Where oh where did you get that tool bag bit from? The one you put over his butt!
That actually comes attached to the Orlock guy
